Camilo era un joven de 23 años de edad que vivía solo, ya que sus padres se habían ido a otra ciudad. Fue muy duro para él porque estaba pasando por una situación muy difícil debido a que no estaba acostumbrado a vivir solo y sus ingresos económicos era muy pocos, no le alcanzaban para sus gastos y mantener su casa. Sin embargo, era un muchacho a quien no le gustaba trabajar mucho, pero por necesidad debió conseguir un trabajo estable y poder salir adelante, pero tendrá que superar desafíos y obstáculos que lo ayudaran, aunque tenga que trabajar en lo que menos le gustaba, son pruebas que le pone la vida.
Camilo was a 23 year old young man who lived alone, since his parents had moved to another city. It was very hard for him because he was going through a very difficult situation due to the fact that he was not used to living alone and his economic income was very little, not enough for his expenses and to maintain his house. However, he was a boy who did not like to work a lot, but out of necessity he had to get a stable job and be able to get ahead, but he will have to overcome challenges and obstacles that will help him, even if he has to work in what he liked the least, they are tests that life puts in his way.
Cada mañana camilo se despertaba muy temprano antes de que saliera el sol para ver y leer un poco las noticias, para a estar enterado de la situación económica y buscar todas las oportunidades de trabajo que estuvieran disponibles y lo más importante que fuera fácil y que no requirieran de mucho esfuerzo. Pasaron varios días y no conseguía nada, hasta que un día fue a la tienda de su mejor amigo en busca de un trabajo.
Luego de conversar y discutir las condiciones del trabajo, Camilo aceptó, a pesar de que le iba a pagar muy poco por las horas y tenía que cumplir un horario de 12 horas, por su mente pasaba que no aceptara, que merecía algo mejor, pero al mismo tiempo tenía que hacerlo, ya que no tenía dinero y era lo único que había conseguido. Su primer día no fue nada fácil, por el hecho de que nunca en su vida había recibido tantas órdenes y menos estar cargando cajas pesadas para organizar el lugar.
Every morning Camilo woke up very early before sunrise to watch and read the news, to be aware of the economic situation and look for all the job opportunities that were available and most importantly that were easy and did not require much effort. Several days went by and he could not find anything, until one day he went to his best friend's store to look for a job.
After talking and discussing the conditions of the job, Camilo accepted, even though he was going to be paid very little for the hours and had to comply with a 12-hour schedule, in his mind he did not accept, he deserved something better, but at the same time he had to do it, since he had no money and it was the only thing he had gotten. Her first day was not easy at all, because she had never received so many orders in her life, let alone carrying heavy boxes to organize the place.
Camilo, duro dos semanas en ese trabajo, puesto que no podía, era muy agotador y su vida se estaba destruyendo, durante ese corto periodo de trabajo no pudo reunir para darse sus gustos, ya que todo era para el mantenimiento de la casa y la comida. No se desanimó y continúo buscando trabajo, pero no encontraba algo de su agrado, eran tan duros como el anterior. Camilo estaba desesperado que no le quedo más opción de pedirles apoyo a sus padres y que le dieran algunos consejos para salir adelante.
Camilo, lasted two weeks in that job, since he could not, it was very exhausting and his life was being destroyed, during that short period of work he could not gather to give himself his tastes, since everything was for the maintenance of the house and the food. He was not discouraged and continued looking for work, but he could not find something he liked, they were as hard as the previous one. Camilo was so desperate that he had no choice but to ask his parents for support and some advice on how to get ahead.
Pasaron varias semanas y no encontraba nada, por lo que un día se puso hacerle manteniendo a su jardín, ya que vivía en un vecindario de muy pocas casas, todos tenían que mantener y cuidar sus fachadas. A él nunca le había gustado este tipo de trabajo, lo hacía como una obligación, las flores quedaban mal cortadas, dejaba la basura tirada, porque estaba acostumbrado a que su hermano menor terminara de hacer el resto, pero esta vez no fue así, ya que se encontraba solo.
Camilo, con su cara de molesto y bajo ese tremendo sol, se puso a limpiar el jardín, comenzó desde muy temprano, pues el trabajo que tenía que hacer era grande. Luego de un par de horas trabajando apenas tenía la mitad del jardín listo, continuo hasta que cayó la noche y por fin pudo terminar. Durante todo ese tiempo uno de los vecinos de la residencia estaba viendo el trabajo que estaba haciendo, pero no le dijo.
Several weeks went by and he couldn't find anything, so one day he started to maintain his garden, since he lived in a neighborhood of very few houses, everyone had to maintain and take care of their facades. He had never liked this kind of work, he did it as an obligation, the flowers were badly cut, he left the garbage lying around, because he was used to his younger brother to finish doing the rest, but this time it was not like that, since he was alone.
Camilo, with his annoyed face and under that tremendous sun, began to clean the garden, he started very early, because the work he had to do was big. After a couple of hours of work he barely had half of the garden ready, he continued until night fell and he could finally finish. During all this time one of the neighbors of the residence was watching the work he was doing, but he did not tell him.
La mañana siguiente este señor se acercó a la casa de Camilo y le toco la puerta muy fuerte, Camilo se asustó y se asomó por la venta para ver quiera, una vez que se da cuenta lo deja pasar. Comienzan a conversar un rato y de repente el señor le ofrece un trabajo y que le pagaría por cada trabajo terminado, Camilo se quedó sorprendido y le estaba gustando la idea, así que le pregunto con una voz muy alegre y fuerte: ¿Cuál será el trabajo?, el señor con seguridad le responde: Ser el jardinero de la residencia.
Camilo no supo que decir al momento, no estaba muy conforme con el trabajo, sin embargo, el señor le ofreció 15 $ por cada jardín, además en el vecindario solamente habían 20 casas. Camilo de inmediato lo aceptó, ya que era una cantidad de dinero aceptable y jamás había tenido esa oportunidad de ganar tanto dinero.
The next morning this man came to Camilo's house and knocked on the door very loudly, Camilo got scared and peeked through the door to see if he wanted to, once he noticed he let him in. They begin to talk for a while and suddenly the gentleman offers him a job and that he would pay him for each finished job, Camilo was surprised and was liking the idea, so he asked him with a very happy and strong voice: What will be the job, the gentleman confidently replied: To be the gardener of the residence.
Camilo did not know what to say at the moment, he was not very happy with the job, however, the man offered him $15 for each garden, besides there were only 20 houses in the neighborhood. Camilo immediately accepted, since it was an acceptable amount of money and he had never had the opportunity to earn so much money.
Luego de que camilo se presentara como el jardinero en todas las casa, lo aceptaron amablemente y comenzó a trabajar, había distintos jardines, unos más grandes que otros, variedad de plantas y árboles, pero poco a poco fue aprendiendo y mejorando su técnica, además todos estaban quedando contento por lo que estaba haciendo este joven.
La reflexión que les comparto, es que el trabajo correcto llegara en el momento cuando menos lo esperamos, hay que tener paciencia y saber esperar. Las oportunidades no hay que desperdiciarlas y sacarle el máximo provecho. Si no estamos preparados para desempeñar un trabajo, debemos prepararnos para dar lo mejor de nosotros. Camilo pasó meses y meses trabajando como jardinero, le agarro cariño a su trabajo y se perfeccionó para hacerlo mejor, pudo comprarse sus cosas, mejores herramientas y ahora tiene una vida mucho mejor siendo jardinero.
After Camilo introduced himself as the gardener in all the houses, they accepted him kindly and he began to work, there were different gardens, some bigger than others, variety of plants and trees, but little by little he was learning and improving his technique, besides everyone was happy for what this young man was doing.
The reflection that I share with you is that the right job will come when we least expect it, you have to be patient and know how to wait. Opportunities should not be wasted and we should make the most of them. If we are not prepared to perform a job, we must prepare ourselves to give our best. Camilo spent months and months working as a gardener, he got fond of his job and perfected himself to do it better, he was able to buy his own things, better tools and now he has a much better life being a gardener.
