"Daniel, get inside the car!" Breya said after they had escaped the shadowy figure.
"What was that? Did you see what happened?" she asked Daniel who sat in the passenger's seat.
"I think the shadowy figure is scared of you?" he replied back.
"Scared of me?! What on earth are you talking about?!" Breya asked, looking confused.
"When we get to the base I will explain everything to you, but please don't kill me afterwards".
Breya hissed as she drove out of their apartment building's garage. On the way to the base, she began to ponder what Daniel meant by what he said earlier. How can the shadowy figures be scared of her, what is so special about her. Different thoughts continued to dance around in her mind as they got to the gate checkpoint of the military base.
Breya drove towards the government owned operation facilities section where her and Fabien's offices were located and parked her car.
"We are here, so you better start talking and don't play with me Daniel".
With this she and Daniel went into the facilities offices as she was greeted by many of her colleagues. Some of her colleagues were confused as to why she was with another person who they had never seen her with before.
"Hey Chocolate! Over here!" Fabien yells out to both of them.
"What took you so long?! I actually thought something happened to you and who is he?" Fabien asked unamused.
"Remember my neighbor? The laboratory scientist? Ah! The guy who works with Discovery of Unseen Science And Labs (DUSAL) ?" Breya said
"oh, I remember. What is he doing here?" Fabien asked
"Well, we kind of rescue each other because the shadowy came at us and also I couldn't leave him out there with what he said to me half an hour ago" She replied.
"Okay….. What did he tell you?" Fabien said with an eyebrow raised.
"Well, the floor is yours Daniel" Breya said while she curtsy. Daniel looked at both of them nervously and began to speak.
"Eight months ago, I was provided with a tactical and a research team to go to Antarctica, the East region to research some microorganisms that could be used for any type of cure in the future. So we can across Ellsworth Mountains, first we discovered that there was a cave inside the mountain which was giving off lots of negative ions. We decided to break hard ice blocking the entrance".
"See the reason why I hate scientists? You. Guys. Literally. Think. You. Are. Smartest. Being. On. Earth. And. Beyond. Why do you always go poke at the hives? Now, I sense a horror story coming!" Fabien said, interrupting Daniel.
Breya sighed and said, "What's wrong with you? Let him speak"
"Breya! Look at his face! He is a psycho! Believe me"
"Continue" Breya said while ignoring Fabien.
"Okay. So we broke in successfully and discovered the cave had ancient markings written all over its wall. We had never seen such markings before. Our archeology team said it was a language, ancient and it told the story of the events that took Hundreds years ago in the cave. We went to investigate every corner of the cave and along the line we discovered a locket that hung around the neck of a priest-like statue."
"Oh my God! Breya. Why do I feel something terrible is about to happen?" Fabien said, interrupting Daniel again.
"Would you please let me finish my story and don't be such a winker!" Daniel said frustrated.
"So as I was saying, we found out that the locket was a key that opened one side of the cave that was inaccessible to us initially. We opened it up and what we saw was unbelievable and old".
"What was it?"* Breya asked
"We saw eight coffins with a fire stand to each of them. Markings were engraved on the coffins with images we didn't understand and what they mean. So we were curious and we opened up all the coffins only to discover seven bodies emancipated, wrapped in black clothings with precious stones of different colors in their hands. Then what we found in the eighth coffin was unbelievable."
"Jesus Christ! And there we go!" Fabien exclaimed and interrupting Daniel again.
"C'mon Fabien, let's hear this in peace" Breya said.
Daniel continues, "we found a woman, still breathing, looking alive but in a deep sleep. She held a journal in her hands and an emerald stone attached to her forehead"
