I... Frankly, live under a rock. I don't know much celebrities personally. But as the impressionable child I am, I am so incredibly observant of every media I consume.
Hermitcraft was something I devoured during covid. This minecraft community had a level of cooperativeness that I oh-so-admired. During this time, I picked apart the minds of every hermit I respected, and I respected a lot of them on a very deep level. Aside from just the laughs, I'd really try to figure out how they thought about stuff, the care that goes into making sure someone else is having an enjoyable time, their sense of morals and honor in following certain rules, and literally copying action for action/word for word when I can. Very much a sit, observe, absorb, copy, and therefore learn. It's very similar to the "follow in their footsteps" thing you do, except very behavior targeted
Knowing this, I really try to be selective of the content I consume, the people I'm around. The people and the things around me are the people I aspire to be. And I hold their image in my mind really strongly whenever I see a similar situation they deal with that I'm trying to learn from
This process is more automatic and then enforced bc I like it than something I've been consciously been trying to do completely of my decision. I know the impression poop people leave on me too, I don't have much control over it especially in my younger days.
