I remember... Even though it has been a long time ago, even though my time on earth remains uncertain I will remember the moments throughout my life and my experiences, above all else.
I was born in a peaceful land, that's one of the few things I remember, the sound of the wind in the trees was the first thing I heard, the sun on my face was the first sensation, even though the sun reflected in my eyes without effect, and to this day I have never understood why. I grew up alone even though I was very young it was normal for me to grow up without my parents, after all we all have to learn to make it on our own one day, even though this hard lesson will serve us for a lifetime,
and after all I was not completely alone all the time...
A strange creature visited me from time to time, often sitting at the foot of a tree and watching me from afar, as if saying hello.
One day I decided to approach him in the same way he approached me, we both had a calm posture, but with extreme curiosity, he was the same height as me at the time, eyes as blue as the sky and hair as light as straw. From that day on he was no longer a strange creature, but a friend that I am proud to remember.
I matured as the years went by, I was still young, full of life and expectations. A flame grew inside me giving me more and more vigor, apparently the creature grew along with me, his physique was more developed and his size doubled, of course he was not taller than me, but he was still impressive, what surprised me was that more and more I understood what he said.
I discovered that his name was "human" and that there were many like him in the world, and that I was different to him as much as he was to me.
When I reached my adulthood I had acquired wisdom and patience, as expected, the human that accompanied me in life had also reached an advanced stage, and there were other people close to him who seemed to be a woman and her children.
One day at sunset I met him at the foot of a cliff and remember exactly the words he had said to me
"Fly my dragon, earn your place in the skies."
My farewell... I disappeared over the horizon and would never forget the first friend I had had in centuries.
I flew far above the clouds towards the raging sun because there my flame would remain eternal.
