Only the moon knows the fears of Hugo, who every night since his childhood, leaning out of his window, talked to her telling her about his day. Hugo was a very quiet child who found it very difficult to make friends, despite his many attempts to do so, shyness seemed to take over him like a great monster, preventing them even say a word in front of other people, none of his family understood him, because now everything will be very easy to get friends everywhere, while living in the darkness of the night used to direct his words towards that bright satellite.
Hugo felt among his relatives as a being from another planet, he thought there was something wrong with him, because it was impossible for him to do things that his parents and siblings, even Gaby his little sister three years younger than him did easily, Gaby used to be the life of the party, always making jokes to everyone and getting laughs and laughter to everyone who listened to her, she was simply impressive for Hugo, who looked intrigued and with great attention trying to learn something, to his little sister talking freely.
Not being able to be understood by his family and not being able to find someone else to talk to, his only companion appeared only at night and sometimes if the sky was very cloudy, he continued alone also before going to sleep, feeling a little overwhelmed by his feelings, lying on his bed, he closed his eyes to fall asleep, when suddenly, through his eyelids a very bright light illuminated the whole place, when Hugo opened his eyes, he saw how a silhouette was approaching him, terrified, he put his head under the sheets as if it was a nightmare.
A few minutes passed and Hugo, plucking up his courage, removed the sheets from his face and managed to see the face of an albino girl who smiled at him very kindly, this girl said softly.
-Hey Hugo, I like books too, I can't believe I've known you for so long and I didn't know that about you.
At this moment Hugo was more confused than before. How was it possible that that girl knew him, if he had never seen her? But at that moment, he could see on her neck a pretty silver necklace that with a beautiful cursive lettering said "Luna" at this moment he understood that she was his faithful friend, that she was more than a satellite, she was a girl who really was his friend, although he was ashamed to have told so many personal things to that girl, however, he was quite happy to say that he had a friend to talk to.
For Hugo talking to his friend the moon was not as easy as it used to be, but she didn't mind, she talked on and on and on and on and Hugo was delighted to finally listen to her after talking without hearing any answer. This nice girl who never seemed to stop talking, felt so comfortable with Hugo, that after a while, he began to talk to her too, it was a fun night in which they played, talked and read their favorite books, until sleep got the better of them and they fell asleep.
When Hugo woke up very happy he looked for her everywhere, but he couldn't find her, a little sad he had to go to class thinking that nothing of what he had lived was real and that only in his dreams, he could talk to someone, but when it got dark again as he was falling asleep the bright light again illuminated with intensity Hugo's room, it was Luna, she was visiting him again, asking him how his day had been, Hugo felt so happy, it was obvious that Luna would not be in the morning, she can only go out at night and from now on he could be with his friend at night.
From that moment on, Hugo waited excitedly for his friend to arrive so he could play with her after a difficult day due to his shyness, this went on for quite a few nights, until going to school was no longer so terrible, thanks to Luna, Hugo felt a little more confident to talk to other people, he made several friends at his school and now he didn't only feel accompanied at night. Cheerfully he waited to tell his friend, but that night she did not arrive, the cloudy days passed and the moon was shining brightly in the dark sky.
At that moment, Hugo understood that his brilliant friend had been in charge of helping him to make friends, now smiling he watched from the sky as his smiling friend was happy for his achievements, Hugo felt much better, his personality was reserved and he was accepted that way, he did not need to be like his family to get good friends, since then, after each day with friends or alone, he returns to his window to look from afar to that friend who was with him in his most difficult days.
