THIS IS AN IN TAKE ON THE CLASSIC SHAKESPEAREAN TRAGEDY: HAMLET. THIS FICTION IS A RETELLING OF THE STORY HAMLET WITH SOME ALTERATIONS TO THE ORIGINAL PLOT
In the kingdom of Denmark, there lives a prince by name Hamlet. The king of Denmark was a brave and intelligent King who was murdered in cold blood by Claudius, his brother.
After the funerals, Hamlet's uncle, Claudius was crowned to be the king until Hamlet married and ascended the throne. After Claudius was crowned king, his attitude changed. He hated prince Hamlet and took the late king's wife Getrude as a wife.
Hamlet seeing his mother going to something she wasn't happy with made him mad but was powerless and didn't know what to do.
One day, while Hamlet was having a personal training in the early hours of the morning, he saw an apparition of his father. His ghost of his father told him how he was murdered by own brother Claudius out of greed. After delivering his message, the ghostly figure vanished and Hamlet vowed to avenge his father's death.
His mind raced to how good a king his father was, how his mother the queen is suffering in the hands of King Claudius, his uncle. All these grew his determination to avenge his father's death.
He began displaying different actions to see if his uncle would realize that he knows his secret but he refused to pay any attention to all his displays as his conscience had been poisoned as he only sees bad as good and never knows good.

Prince Hamlet thought of which way to terminate King Claudius' life. The only thought coming to his mind was by sword. His girlfriend Ophelia who visited his fiance saw him sharpening an already sharp sword. Her curiosity grew and she was inquisitive to know if prince Richard is going for a battle.
He persuaded Ophelia not to visit the palace until she is invited without telling her the reason. King Claudius suspected Prince Hamlet's strange behaviors and knew his ways were crooked.
King Claudius who had the evil intention of poisoning prince Hamlet as he felt he had evil plans against him. On the same page, Hamlet felt the invite is the best play to end his uncle's life.
"This is a friendly invite but you chose to turn it into war". King said.

He drew out his sword from the scabbard and said " no my Lord, it's too late to return my sword. I must avenge my father's death. Source
After Hamlet killed his uncle, he learnt that good intentions can come with disastrous results.
