Un geco que aprendió a trabajar por lo que quería [ ESP– ENG ]

Carlos era un geco que soñaba con muchas cosas en la vida y realmente tenía muchas metas que quería cumplir, soñaba con una profesión, un coche y hasta una mansión, pero tenía un pequeño detalle y era que se dedicaba solo a aspirar y soñar, no ponía manos a la obra en trabajar por lo que quería, sino que solo se sentaba y esperaba a que sus sueños y sus metas se hicieran realidad, así pasaban los días y Carlos siempre en el mismo lugar soñando y meditando pero sin poder avanzar.

En ciertas ocasiones Carlos llegó a pensar que se merecía todas esas cosas que él aspiraba por ser una gran geco, pero esperaba que los demás se las dieran sin nada a cambio, incluso se molestaba con sus padres porque ellos no podían darle la mansión que querían y el carro de sus sueños.

Carlos was a gecko who dreamed of many things in life and really had many goals he wanted to accomplish, he dreamed of a profession, a car and even a mansion, but he had a small detail and that was that he was dedicated only to aspire and dream, he did not put hands to work on working for what he wanted, but only sat and waited for his dreams and goals to come true, so the days passed and Carlos always in the same place dreaming and meditating but unable to move forward.

On certain occasions Carlos came to think that he deserved all those things he aspired to be a great gecko, but he expected others to give them to him without anything in return, he even got upset with his parents because they could not give him the mansion he wanted and the car of his dreams.

Definitivamente, Carlos tenía una visión equivocada de la realidad y una falsa concepción de los sueños y las metas, durante mucho tiempo había aprendido que visualizando lo que quería lo conseguiría y esto se convirtió en un mal hábito, hasta el punto de que Carlos se volvía cada día más perezoso y no volvió a trabajar jamás, él solo se sentaba y se ponía a pensar en ello.

En una ocasión Carlos fue contratado en una empresa de construcción, aceptó el trabajo porque su objetivo era comprar un celular, pero fue despedido rápidamente porque no quería trabajar, mientras los demás trabajadores se preparaban para trabajar y se esforzaban por hacer bien su trabajo, Carlos solo pensaba y meditaba acostado en una carretilla.

Definitely, Carlos had a wrong vision of reality and a false conception of dreams and goals, for a long time he had learned that by visualizing what he wanted he would get it and this became a bad habit, to the point that Carlos became lazier every day and never went back to work, he would just sit and think about it.

On one occasion Carlos was hired in a construction company, he accepted the job because his goal was to buy a cell phone, but he was quickly fired because he did not want to work, while the other workers were preparing for work and striving to do their job well, Carlos just thought and meditated lying in a wheelbarrow.

Tiempo después se fue a trabajar a un lago de pesca, su trabajo era recolectar peces, pero no duró ni una semana en este trabajo, Carlos solo se tumbaba mirando el sol y no hacía nada por trabajar, muchos llegaron a pensar que Carlos era un perezoso, pero en realidad era que Carlos no paraba de pensar y soñar.

Un día Carlos visitó a un amigo empresario que era exitoso y había logrado todas las metas que quería alcanzar, él fue a visitarlo porque los años pasaban y veía que siempre estaba en el mismo lugar, Carlos se había dado cuenta de que lo que soñaba no era suficiente para lograr sus metas, tenía que hacer algo más, también entendió que sus padres y amigos no podían darle el éxito que quería lograr, ya que esto era algo personal.

Some time later he went to work in a fishing lake, his job was to collect fish, but he did not last a week in this job, Carlos just lay looking at the sun and did nothing to work, many came to think that Carlos was lazy, but in reality it was that Carlos did not stop thinking and dreaming.

One day Carlos visited a businessman friend who was successful and had achieved all the goals he wanted to achieve, he went to visit him because the years passed and he saw that he was always in the same place, Carlos had realized that what he dreamed was not enough to achieve his goals, he had to do something more, he also understood that his parents and friends could not give him the success he wanted to achieve, as this was something personal.

Al visitar a este viejo amigo Carlos entendió que tenía que empezar a trabajar por sus sueños y que no bastaba con tener metas, sino que tenía que hacer un plan para lograrlas, también aprendió que las metas tienen que ser alcanzables, no inimaginables, ni muy difíciles de lograr, porque se podía desanimar.

Carlos también entendió que a medida que iba logrando una meta iba teniendo confianza en sí mismo y esto lo motivó a ponerse metas un poco más difíciles de lograr, así que el día menos pensado Carlos comenzó a trabajar por sus pequeñas metas, siempre teniendo como motivación principal su gran sueño.

By visiting this old friend Carlos understood that he had to start working for his dreams and that it was not enough to have goals, he had to make a plan to achieve them, he also learned that goals have to be achievable, not unimaginable, not too difficult to achieve, because he could get discouraged.

Carlos also understood that as he was achieving a goal he was having confidence in himself and this motivated him to set goals a little more difficult to achieve, so the day less thought Carlos began to work for his small goals, always having as main motivation his big dream.

Así fue como Carlos compro su primera bicicleta para ir a trabajar, trato de esforzarse y de siempre dar lo mejor a los demás, él estaba dispuesto a avanzar, ya no pasaba sus días holgazaneando y soñando con lo que quería lograr, ahora pasaba sus días trabajando en esa meta que quería lograr,además siempre aprovechaba el tiempo libre para aprender cosas buenas de los demás.

Su motivación creció cada día más, y la experiencia que ganaba le ayudaba a ver con más claridad el camino que debía transitar, ahora Carlos es un geco exitoso, inspiración para los demás, y cada vez que le piden un consejo, él les dice que no se conformen con soñar y plantearse metas, sino que tienen que trabajar con disciplina y entusiasmo por eso que quieren lograr.

That's how Carlos bought his first bicycle to go to work, he tried to make an effort and always give the best to others, he was willing to move forward, he no longer spent his days lazing around and dreaming about what he wanted to achieve, now he spent his days working on that goal he wanted to achieve, also he always took advantage of his free time to learn good things from others.

His motivation grew every day, and the experience he gained helped him to see more clearly the path he had to follow. Now Carlos is a successful gecko, an inspiration for others, and every time they ask him for advice, he tells them not to be satisfied with dreaming and setting goals, but to work with discipline and enthusiasm for what they want to achieve.
