Tra i mezzi di comunicazione di massa un ruolo importantissimo è stato svolto per molti anni dalla radio. L' invenzione della radio, attribuita all'italiano Guglielmo Marconi, risale alla fine dell'Ottocento. La radio provvede ancora egregiamente a diffondere l'informazione, la musica e lo svago per tutti i suoi ascoltatori.

La prima metà del XX secolo fu l'epoca gloriosa dei mobili-radio e delle ingombranti radio “a valvole” dal “guscio” di legno. In seguito, nel corso degli anni '70, nacquero le radio private e i network che mandavano in onda anche il profondo desiderio di libertà provato dai giovani di quegli anni.

I versi di una celebre canzone di Eugenio Finardi ci ricorderanno sempre che:
“Amo la radio perché arriva dalla gente
Entra nelle case e ci parla direttamente
E se una radio è libera, ma libera veramente
Mi piace ancor di più perché libera la mente”

E allora ... viva la Radio!!

Among the mass media a very important role has been played for many years by radio. The invention of the radio was attributed to Guglielmo Marconi and dates back to the late nineteenth century. The radio still provides excellent information, music and entertainment to all its listeners.

The first half of the twentieth century was the glorious era of mobile radios and bulky "valve" radios with a wooden "shell". Later, during the 70s, private radios and networks were born which also broadcast the deep desire for freedom of the young people of those years.

The verses of a famous song by Eugenio Finardi will always remind us that:
"I love radio because it comes from people /
Enter the houses and speak to us directly /
And if a radio is free / But really free /
I like it even more / Why free your mind "
