brief: Usually PoolTogether is categorized as "No-Loss Crypto Lottery" and I kind of agree with the term because you "buy" a ticket to win prizes.
But this is not a lottery. No one loses their money, because the ticket money goes into their savings accounts and prize is coming out of the savings account.
If you don't win or you want to get out of the savings account, you can do so anytime and get your money back, so everybody can keep their money for buying into a lottery and win.
Now, they came up with this new "pod" idea and it is taking "No-Loss Lottery" to a different level.

It acts more like "Community Savings" now because they will combine tickets into a pod so that you have a higher chance to win prizes but then prizes are shared with everybody else in the pod. The winning portion gets smaller and it is more like an interest on savings account. But this is not just your savings account that has little money in it, it is the "community"s savings account that people have put a lot of money in.
But what does that really mean?
If you buy 5 single tickets(5 DAI), you will have a very small chance of winning.
You will probably never win with this odds. (0% probability)
It won't hurt to try since you can get this money back any time you want.
But what if you combine these tickets into a pod?
This will significantly increase the chance of winning to 1 in 9! (10% probability)
With this odds, you will win something sometime soon... ish?!
