Hay cosas que nos resultan tan cotidianas, que dejamos de apreciarlas con mucha frecuencia. Un simple recorrido por la ciudad puede, ocasiones, resultarnos monótono y hasta aburrido, pero al día siguiente adquiere, por razones determinadas, un valor especial.
Hace cerca de tres semanas tuve un problema de salud, que me ha tenido encerrado en caso todo este tiempo (después de pasar varios días en la emergencia de una clínica).
Esto, como es de suponer, ha significado un retraso en mis actividades fuera de Hive y sobre todo me ha afectado en la grabación del disco que estoy realizando en estos momentos. Varias semanas sin poder ir al estudio y sin avanzar en ninguno de los aspectos relacionados con la grabación.
Pero finalmente, hoy pudimos concretar que yo volviera al estudio para escuchar el material, ver en qué punto quedamos y planificar los próximos pasos, los cuales dependerán también de los resultados de mis exámenes médicos.
Pero, aparte de la felicidad que tenía por volver al estudio, el viaje mismo se convirtió en un placer maravilloso. Muchas veces he comentado el profundo amor que siento por la ciudad de Caracas, por su montaña que siempre nos indica dónde está el norte y todas las vistas que ofrece Caracas.
Además, en lugar de irme por la autopista, me fui por lo que solemos llamar "los caminos verdes", es decir, el camino a través de calles que atraviesa distintas urbanizaciones y zonas de cerros. Estas vías, a la hora de mucho tráfico, son las mejores opciones para los conductores. Pero además sirve para refrescar la vista, con la belleza de esos distintos sectores.
Aunque pensé en publicar más fotos de la sesión en el estudio, preferí compartir con ustedes este recorrido. Y como recompensa adicional para quien lea el post, le dejo también la portada del arreglo de uno de los temas que van para el disco. ¡Así que acá tienen la primicia!
There are things that are so commonplace that we often fail to appreciate them. A simple walk through the city can sometimes be monotonous and even boring, but the next day it acquires, for certain reasons, a special value.
About three weeks ago I had a health problem, which has kept me locked up in case all this time (after spending several days in the emergency room of a clinic).
This, as you might expect, has meant a delay in my activities outside of Hive and above all has affected me in the recording of the album I am currently working on. Several weeks without being able to go to the studio and without progress in any of the aspects related to the recording.
But finally, today we were able to arrange for me to return to the studio to listen to the material, see where we stand and plan the next steps, which will also depend on the results of my medical tests.
But, apart from the happiness I had to return to the studio, the trip itself became a wonderful pleasure. Many times I have commented on the deep love I feel for the city of Caracas, for its mountain that always shows us where the north is and all the views that Caracas has to offer.
Besides, instead of taking the highway, I went through what we usually call "the green roads", that is, the road through streets that crosses different urbanizations and hill areas. These roads, at the time of heavy traffic, are the best options for drivers. But it also serves to refresh the view, with the beauty of these different sectors.
