Lost Legendaries ruleset
Description:
Legendary units may not be used.
Legendary summoners are still available.
The Battle Ruleset
Stampede: The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.
Lost Legendaries: Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles.
Super Sneak: All Melee attack Monsters have the Sneak ability.
This is a low mana ruleset game and only two color is available to play, which is the Life and the Dragon Splinters. This game was a BRAWL game and such it was very important to win in order to increase my reputation within the guild. There was a Super Sneak ruleset, which means I can try something different than usual, because all the melee attack monsters were able to attack from my backline. 😀
My Team
General Sloan is an amazing damage buffer Summoner, because he gives +1 ranged attack damage to all of his fellow monsters. This is especially good when you have rulesets like Lost Legendaries where it is very limited what monters to choose for your team.
I like the Xenith Monk a lot, because he is a low budget tank with the Tank Heal ability, which means that he will sustain a lot more damage at the front of my team.
The Furious Chicken is just a filler card, because on this low level he doesn't do much apart from the fact that he will block one attack by surviving himself.
Djinn Renova is in the center of my team and she is quite strong with her three magic damage, which makes her an amazing damage dealer. The magic damage is the strongest in the game and it ignores the enemy armor.
Ajax Lightfoot is a Gladius card, which means that he naturally has the Bloodlust ability, which will increase all of his stats by one when he kills a monster from the opposite team.
In this battle I was thinking outside of the box putting the Shieldbearer at the back of my backline. The reason for that was is his Taunt ability, so if my opponent try to focus his damage I will split that damage to half, because most of his monsters will attack my Shieldbearer. Thanks to the SUper Sneak he is able to attack as well from the last position.
The Battle

My strategy was working in the first round as my opponent couldn't kill any of my monsters thanks to the Taunt ability on my Shieldbearer. The second round started killing their tank and everything was still going as it was planned.
The moment of truth arrived in the fourth round, when we had the same amount of monsters on each side of the battlefield.
By the sixth round my team killed another two of his monsters and he only had one monster remained at his side, which was Captain Katie who is unfortunately a Gladius card with the Bloodlust ability, so my team had to act quickly to destroy her.
My Ajax leveled himself up through the battle to the point where he has a lovely five ranged attack damage and he was able to finish off Captain Katie. 😁
Do you like Lost Legendaries? Why or why not?
I kinda like this ruleset, because it eliminates the most expensive cards from the battle, but also allows the players to use some unconventional strategies, which normally is not possible, because the Legendary cards just take over those strategies. 😉
