What Doesn't Kill You ruleset
Description:
All units gain the Enrage ability which multiplies their speed and melee attack by 1.5x rounded up.
The attack multiplier only affects melee units.
Units with Inspire will increase your melee attack; Demoralize will decrease your opponent's melee attack.
The Battle Ruleset
What Doesn't Kill You: All Monsters have the Enrage ability.
Briar Patch: All Monsters have the Thorn ability.
This is a middle mana ruleset game and four color is available to play, which is the Fire, Water, Death and Earth Splinters. The Enrage is an amazing ability, but it only the melee attack monsters are the ones benefitting the most out of it. The rest of the monsters are getting only speed increase, which is still good.
The Thorns ability is a bit of counter against the melee attack monsters in this battle, so it might be a good idea not to use them otherwise you will lose them quickly. 😀
My Team Composition
Kelya Frendul is perfect in this fight, because he gives one speed and armor to all of his monsters, which makes those monsters to block at least one incoming melee or ranged attack.
The Venari Marksrat has a very special ability, which came recently into the game and that is the Martyr ability. This abilit means that if he dies it will increase the stats of the monsters next to him, so it is important to position him well.
The Djinn Oshannus is my favorite Water monster, because he has a lot of health and speed and also has two magic attack damage, so he is quite resilient against the enemy monsters. His Void ability and Phase makes him exceptionaly good against the magic attack monsters, so overal he is a very good tank.
The Merdhampir is one of my damage dealer and he has two amazing abilites. The first one is the Life Leech, which will increase his own health with every damage he makes and the Cripple will decrease the maximum health of his target by one.
The Merdaali Guardian is my healer for this battle and unfortunately she doesn't have any attack, but I had to use her to support my Djinn Oshannus in case my opponent has a lot of front damage.
The Swamp Spitter works well with Kelya, because all of my monsters will have at least one armor piece, so the Spitter will Repair the armor on one of the friendly monster in each and every round with his Repair ability. He has a lot of ranged damage as well and I was lucky enough to pull out a golf foil version of him, which will increase my reward by 10%.
On a first glance the River Nymph doesn't really look that strong in this battle, but I think she was crucial to increase the reflected Thorns damage against the enemy melee attack monsters. She has a very important ability, which is the Amplify, which will increase all the reflected damage by one.
The Battle

My opponent picked the same summoner like me with a very similar team, but I do not really understand the purpose of his Deeplurker, because one of the ruleset was Thorns.
The enemy team also had Djinn Oshannus, so it will be a long fight, but at least mine had alittle bit of buff from the Martyr ability on my Venari Marksrat.
I have lost my River Nymph, because the Deeplurker is a very strong card, but every time he attacked one of my monsters he took 3 damage back, so it was a matter of time, before he will kill himself.
In the fourth round finally that happened and he killed himself, so whoever will hit the most on the enemy Djinn OShannus will win this battle.
Luckily my buff from the Marksrat made my Oshannus a bit superior than the enemy one. My Merdhampir used his Cripple ability when he hit his target to reduce the maximum health of the enemy tank.
Both of us had a siimilar team, but my Venari Marksrat and his Deeplurker made enough difference for me to win this game. 😀
Do you like What Doesn't Kill You? Why or why not?
I like this ruleset, because it allows me to use different strategies in order to take advantage against my opponent. This is avery helpful ruleset if you have some nice legendaries who can benefit a lot from it.
