Hello splinter-cells. I hope you are doing well.
Today, I want to show you guys they joyous moment in a splinter-cell’s life when the plan that he plans comes into fruition, when the monsters act just like how he intended for them. And yes, this is in the lowest of the leagues, Bronze league. Yet, in this league pertains the highest of high, the lowest of the low(vile) players that seems not so amateurish. Don’t they think that the high tier rewards are just as good if you have spent money for it already?
Battle Conditions
The mana cap is 23, a perfect cap to build a deck based around one central monster. The summoners available were Fire, Water, Nature, Death, and Life. I chose Life summoner this time, they somehow ‘light up’ my day.
Battle rules:
- Opportunity: All monsters have the opportunity ability.
Battle Details
Let’s start from my side:
Summoner: Franz Ruffmane(Ability: Provides +1 shield to all ally monsters).
Tank: Gargoya Scrapper(No Ability).
Melee attackers: Dumacke Exile(Ability: Sneak).
Ranged attackers: Venari Marksrat(Ability: Martyr).
Magic attackers: Captain Katie(Ability: Snipe, Bloodlust).
My strategy was to delay my bloodthirsty monster from coming to the first position. That way, her damage would increase significantly by the time everyone else would die. I kept the Gargoya at the forefront to absorb the enemy monster's attack. I kept the Marksrat in the middle of Dumacke and Katie in the hopes of dying and giving both monsters a boost to all their stats.
My overall damage output per round is 7. Adding in the martyr effect it would increase it to 8. Adding in the bloodlust effect, it would continue to grow to up to 8 damage from Katie alone.
Now for the opposition's turn:
Summoner: Keyla Frendrul(Ability: Provides additional speed and shield to all ally monsters).
Tank: Albatross(Ability: Flying).
Melee attackers: Hardy Stonefish(No Ability), Diemonshark(Ability: Trample).
Magic attackers: Venari Wavesmith(Ability: Protect), Ice Pixie(Ability: Flying).
Ranged attackers: Xenith Archer(No Ability).
His strategy was to delay my monster from attacking his as both the monsters with the lowest HP had the flying ability, that way he would be able to out-damage me. He kept his Sharks in the middle so that it wouldn't be taken out instantly.
The total damage output is 6 per round with no healing or hope of increased in damage.
Major Events
My Gargoya fell in the first rounds of attack as I had expected and Katie targeted a monster with the lowest HP and triggered the bloodlust ability.
They made the mistake of attacking my Marksrat and this both my monsters got the martyr effect as planned.
Katie starts to delete one monster at a time. This time it was the Xenith Archer.
Next, it felled the Ice Pixie
Next, it went for the Stone Hardyfish and somehow my Dumacke survived at the barrage of attacks throughout.
And finally, the Diemonshark bit the dust as it got blasted by Katie. The overall damage was 11 at the end of the game.
Results
Usually, players keep their most damage-dealing monster at the forefront and so keeping the Gargoya worked. Moreover, this mode was best for any bloodthirsty monsters since the battle rules would make it go directly for a monster with the lowest HP. Hence, this ruleset makes it the perfect hunting grounds for any monster with bloodlust ability.
