Hello, my splinter-warriors. I hope you all are doing well today.
Today, I want to share a battle that deserves to be in the recorded books. And, this battle was taken from the recent battles so rest assured, this battle is all up to date.
Battle Conditions
The mana cap is 22 and there are 5 summoners to choose from Fire, Nature, Life, Death, and Dragon. Perfect for a little death summoner play but I chose the total opposite.
Battle Rules:
- Briar Patch - All monsters have the thorns ability.
Battle Details
Let's start from my side:
Summoner: Franz Ruffmane(Ability: Additional shield for all ally monsters).
Tank: Gargoya Scrapper(No Ability).
Ranged Attacker: Venari MArksrat(Ability: Martyr), Zenith Archer(No Ability).
Magic Damage: Captain Katie(Ability: Snipe, Bloodlust).
Non attacker: Truthspeaker(Ability: Protect).
My sole intention was never to attack through the melee attackers and to avoid it. That's why I chose to have a bloodthirsty attacker in the deck that would continue to grow the longer it stayed in the battle. That way, my monsters would get hit with the thorns damage.
My overall damage output was 6 and it would grow by 1 each round when the bloodlust would trigger.
Now for the opposition's turn:
Summoner: Thaddius Brood(Ability: Decrease in HP and Magic by 1 for all enemy monsters).
Tank: Wily Coyotian(No Ability).
Non attacker: Will-o-wisp(Ability: Flying, Weaken).
Magic attacker: Life Sapper(Ability: Life Leech).
Ranged Attacker: Lira The Dark(Ability: Opportunity, Snare).
Blocked attacker: Corpse Fiend(No Ability).
His strategy seemed to be waiting out my attacker's turn as it would reach his Wisp which would give the time for Lira to demolish my troops from the middle. He kept a dummy at the back of his line so that his precious Lira would live for an extra round.
His overall damage output was 4 per round.
Major Events
It took a lot of turns to get to the actual battle thanks to everyone's abilities and perk activation. The first to fall, however, was my tank.
Katie had chosen a different target, the Wisp. That's why it took longer to get any of his monsters. In the meantime, he made the mistake of eliminating my Marksrat. That way, Katie got her first bloodlust boost.
Then, Katie got her second bloodlust trigger as she was facing the Coyotian. Then Katie busted the Wisp finally. And that's how the odds were evened to a 3 v 4.
The 2nd bloodlust was triggered and Katie's damage had increased to 5. After doing the Life Sapper it increased to 6.
The bloodlust from eliminating the life Sapped was triggered.
With one attack from Katie, his precious Lira died and that's how we got the 4th bloodlust trigger and the damage had increased to 7.
At the end of the 6th round, his Corpse Fiend tried to attack my Katie and got hit with the thorns.
Results
I usually use Thaddius Brood but this time I tried a little different and got the sweet return with an aggregate of 8 damage per round.
