Hello guys!
Yeeeeey I'm back again with my Splinterlands post. I'm writing this post to follow Splinterlands Mage Secrets Battle Challenge Silenced Summoner. This is the first post to join this challenge, and in this post I will share about the battle between Obsidian and Immortalis. This would be one of the case studies if we got the Silenced Summoner rulesets in battle. In addition to this post, I have also prepared another post with a different battle strategy on the same rulesets, Silenced Summoner.
Well, I'm neither a proplayer nor a tournament hero. I just enjoys sharing strategy and battles that I find interesting in my own view. In this battle, I used another scholarship account with IGN BLTZR-WIZARD-700 who played in the Diamond league at modern rank while using a Full main Chaos Legion edition card and several Reward cards whose level was not max. The battle strategy that I shared may not be effective in other leagues because of the different levels of each league.
Ok guys, without further ado, let's get straight to the heart of this post!
BATTLE PREPARATION
Challenge Rules
RULESET: Silenced Summoner
Description:
Summoners do not give any buffs/debuffs or grant/use abilities.
Use your lowest cost and highest level summoner within this ruleset.
Battle Rulesets
The rulesets in this battle are:
- Aimless (* All Monsters have the Scattershot ability*)
- Lost Legendaries (Legendary Monsters may not be used in battles)
- Silenced Summoner (Summoner do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities)
- Mana Capacity 37
- Active Element Only Earth.
Line Up and Strategy
Because Summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities, so the best choice is to use summoners with the lowest cost but can support summoning all monsters at the desired league level. So I chose to use Obsidian. While the other monsters in the line-up that I compiled you can see in the picture below.
| Monster | Position | Abilities | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Obsidian | Summoner | +1 Magic (Not working) | I only have Obsidian, the Summoner of the Earth element in a modern league with a level that can play in the Diamond league. |
| Xenith Monk | First | Heal, Void, Reflect Magic | I chose this monster as a tank because it has a good ability to survive Magic attacks. This is because my prediction is that monsters will also use many magic monsters, considering that the favorite strategy of many players from Earth Element is the magic army. |
| Mycelic Slipspawn | Second | Taunt, Forcefield, Slow | Different from the strategy I usually use where I put the Taunt monster in the first or last position, this time I put the Taunt monster in the second position. This is because Taunt doesn't work in this battle because of Aimless rulesets that give Scattershota the ability to all monsters. So this monster remains a second tank because it has a large HP. |
| Venari Markstrat | Third | Martyr, Snare | I deliberately put this monster among monsters that have great damage that will become the main attacker with the aim that if the Martyr of this monster is active because this monster is dead, all stats of the 2 monsters next to this monster will increase. |
| Regal Peryton | Fourth | Flying | In addition to Mycelic Splipspawn, the monster beside the Martyr monster is this monster, because the initial stats are very supportive as an attacker and if Martyr is active, the stats will be scarier because they have high HP, high speed and great damage. |
| Magi of Chaos | Fifth | Oppress | Magi of Chaos has the most damage in this formation, but unfortunately its speed is not as high as Regal Peryton. Even so, this monster is quite helpful as an attacker. |
| Goblin Psychic | Last | Thank Heal, Affliction, Silence, Dispel | Support monsters are most important in the formation I planned, because they have abilities that are important in battle. Thank Heal, will support monsters in first place by restoring HP every round starts, Affliction will make the target affected by the attack become unhealable, Silnece will reduce magic damage from all enemy monsters, and Dispel which will eliminate all positive influences received by the target. |

STRATEGY DISCUSSION
The strategy I implemented worked very effectively, although it wasn't actually the best strategy. Why do I say that? Because the summoner does not exert any influence. So obviously the summoner with which the smallest is the more effective option. If we play in modern, the most effective Summoner of the earth element is Mylor Crowling, and if we play in the wild then Xander Foxwood who has mana 2 is the most effective.
