Hello Everyone!
It's been three weeks since my last post. I'm back to take part in the Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge. Last week I didn't take part in all the challenges from Splinterlands, either the Social Media Challenge or the Battle Challenge. This is because I got the flu again, and my health condition is not so good. I don't know why I have been so easy to get flu and colds lately, even though I take multivitamins every day. Perhaps this is due to the weather change in my area. I live in the mountains in the tropics, and lately the temperature here has dropped a bit.
The theme of this week's battle challenge is Silent Sha-Vi. It's not difficult for me to do this challenge because actually Silent Sha-Vi is one of my favorite monsters from the death element. to take part in this challenge I used one of my scholarship accounts from NFTy Arcade with IGN @NA-SPL-50. Actually, last season my personal account was already actively playing with the highest league in Diamond, but I wanted to publish my post as soon as possible while my personal account didn't have Silent Sha-Vi. Let's start discussing the main topics in this post!
SILENT SHA-VI
Silent Sha-vi are entities from the shadow realm that take the form of giant snakes. They travel in darkness and shadow as if each dark corner is a gateway that leads elsewhere. They have an appetite for slow and creeping deaths, feeding off the escalating fear of the victim. If you think there might be a monster under your bed, it's probably a Silent Sha-vi.
Edition: CHAOS LEGION
Rarity: COMMON
Element: DEATH
Attack: MELEE
Abilities: Sneak, Cripple, Piercing
Mana Cap : 5
Silent Sha-Vi is currently one of the starter card monsters. All Splinterlands players can use level 1 of this monster without having to own or rent it. But at levels 1-5 of this level only unlocked Sneak ability. This means that there is no change in ability in the Novice, Bronze or Silver leagues. Ability Cripple will be unlocked at level 6 of this monster, that is in the Gold league, while at the max level there will be additional ability Piercing.
RULESETS
- Aim True (Melee and Ranged attacks always hit their target)
- Broken Arrows (Ranged attacks Monsters may not be used in this battle)
- Mana Cap 28
- Available Element WATER, LIFE, DEATH
LINE-UP AND STRATEGY
The battle history of the opponent is dominated by deck element water with Summoner Alric Stormbringer with +1 magic attack ability. The strategy that I will use is to count the opponent's attacks using the Summoner Thaddius Brood which has the ability of -1 magic -1 HP.
In this battle, the long-range monsters cannot be used, so I will use a defensive strategy by using the front 2 tanks and also put the tanks in the last position and put the attacking monsters in the middle. Tank in last position to protect the main attacker from mosnter attacks with Sneak ability. What monsters I choose in my line-up and the strategy of each monster, you can see in the table below.
| Monster | Position | Ability | Strategy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Summoner | -1 Magic, -1HP | Thaddius Brood, This summoner is very suitable for magic attack conters. Ranged monsters cannot be used in this battle, so the opponent's attacks will be dominated by magic and melee attacks. | |
| Tank | Thorns | Cursed Windeku Lv.4 as Tank because of the Thorns ability where the melee attack that hits this monster will turn to attack. With 4 manacap but has a high speed and a 11 HP. In addition to defending, this mosnter also has 3 melee attacks that are good attackers. | |
| Second | Dodge | Chaos Agent Lv.5 with Dodge ability, 3 Speed and 3 HP in second place as non attack tank. Dodge ability increases the chances of these monsters to dodge melee and range attacks. Apart from being a second tank, this monster also allows protecting the main attacker from Snipe monsters. Maybe this monster as a tank is only able to withstand some of the opponent's attacks, but this is not a problem because I will put another powerful monster behind it. | |
| Third | Void Armor, Knockout, Giant Killer | Djinn Muirat, Legendary monster Lv.2 in third position. This monster is very powerful and can play a dual role as an attacker or as a tank to protect the monsters behind it. I think the Void Armor on this monster will be very useful for resisting magic attacks from opponents. | |
| Fourth | Sneak | Silent Sha-Vi Lv.5 as main attacker in this battle. target attack of this monster is the monster with the last position. This monster has a very high speed of 5 and 3 melee attacks. Probability of a miss attack from this monster is also very small, unless the attack target has Dodge ability, the same or higher speed, or has a Flying ability. | |
| Fifth | Life Leech | Life Sapper Lv.4 as attacker, having 2 magic attacks with Life Leech ability, if this monster attack hits the target's HP, the HP of this monster will increase. | |
| Last | None | Corpse Fiend LV.2, Legendary monster with mana cap 0 but have 3 speed and 1 melee attack. This monster is perfect for filling the remaining slots. The reason I put this monster in the last position is to protect the main attacker from Sneak monsters attacks, and its ok if this monster becomes the first monster to die. |
GO TO BATTLEFIELD....
Just as I guessed from the beginning that the opponent used summoner Alric Stormbringer with a deck formation dominated by magic attacks. Thaddius Brood was the most correct decision for this battle. Can you guess whose team is stronger? Let's take a look at the video below to know what this match will look like.

The opponent's total attack in round 1 is 7 Magic attacks, while monsters with Melee attacks cannot move. While the total attacks I have are 6 Melee attacks and 4 Magic attacks. In terms of the number of attacks I was better, therapy I had difficulty in round 1 because all the monsters from the opponent got 2 armors because of the balility protect of Venari Wavesmith, and the Void ability that Djinn Oshanus had made the magic attacks of my monsters reduced by 1. I lost a monster in last place in round 1.
One of the epic moments in this battle is when Silent Sha-vi can kill Coral Wraith, but Coral Wraith is resurrected because of the Resurrect ability of river Hellondale. Even though it rises with only 1 HP, it has 2 Armors. This means that it takes 2 more turns to be able to kill this monster again.
In round 3 I lost 2 more of my monsters, while the opponent's formation was still complete with 6 monsters. It looks like I'm going to lose this battle.
The situation reversed when Djinn Oshanus was dead. I easily attacked the opponent's monsters to the end. I think the biggest obstacle to this battle is indeed Djinn Oshanus.
STRATEGY DISCUSSION
I think the Strategy I used for this battle was effective. Although in the early rounds I had a hard time but in the end I won this battle. I think the current opponent is quite observant and good at putting together a formation. If I hadn't used Thaddius Brood Summoner to reduce magic attacks maybe I would have lost from the beginning of the round.
I usually use this strategy in the Gold league, but it can also be used for all leagues. It is evident that this battle is in the Silver league and is still effective, using double tanks. The strategy of using layered tanks is necessary if we feel that 1 tank is not strong enough to last a few rounds.
Do I like Silent Sha-Vi?
Of course I like Silent Sha-Vi. Its because they has great damage as well as high speed. In addition, this monster can be used for battles on high and low manacap.
