¡Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! – Thaddius Brood with Will-O-Wisp & Elven Mystic

¡Saludos comunidad! En el reto de esta semana quiero hablarles sobre una estrategia que he estado aplicando con el Splinter de Muerte. La cual consiste en reducir la vida y el daño mágico del enemigo en 2 puntos. Las cartas que hacen esto posible son las siguientes: El invocador Thaddius Brood, que es del tipo común, y pertenece a la edición Chaos Legion. El monstruo Will-O-Wisp, que es del tipo épico, y pertenece a la edición Reward (Soulbound) / Chaos Legion. Y el monstruo neutral Elven Mystic, que es del tipo común, y pertenece a la edición Untamed.

Greetings community! In this week's challenge I want to tell you about a strategy that I have been applying with the Death Splinter. Which consists of reducing the enemy's life and magic damage by 2 points. The cards that make this possible are the following: The summoner Thaddius Brood, which is of the common type, and belongs to the Chaos Legion edition. The monster Will-O-Wisp, which is of the epic type, and belongs to the Reward (Soulbound) / Chaos Legion edition. And the neutral monster Elven Mystic, which is of the common type, and belongs to the Untamed edition.

Will-O-Wisp es un monstruo que a pesar de no tener ataque posee buenos atributos. Sus habilidades “Flying” y “Weaken” le permiten aumentar el chance de esquivar ataques físicos enemigos, y reducir en 1 punto la vida de la composición enemiga para tomar ventaja en la batalla. Particularmente, mi estrategia con esta carta consiste en combinarla con el invocador “Thaddius Brood”, ya que el mismo reduce en 1 punto la vida y el daño mágico del enemigo. También incluyo a “Elven Mystic” para reducir en 1 punto más el daño mágico del enemigo mediante su habilidad “Silence”. Lo que da como resultado una reducción de la vida y el daño mágico del oponente en 2 puntos, lo que permite tomar una gran ventaja en la batalla.

Will-O-Wisp is a monster that despite having no attack has good attributes. Its "Flying" and "Weaken" abilities allow it to increase the chance of dodging enemy physical attacks, and reduce the life of the enemy composition by 1 point to take advantage in battle. Particularly, my strategy with this card is to combine it with the summoner "Thaddius Brood", since it reduces the enemy's life and magic damage by 1 point. I also include "Elven Mystic" to reduce the enemy's magic damage by 1 more point with its "Silence" ability. This results in a reduction of the opponent's health and magic damage by 2 points, which allows you to take a great advantage in battle.

¡Pasemos a la batalla! Como les mencioné anteriormente, mi estrategia consiste en reducir la vida y el daño mágico del oponente en 2 puntos. Y para ello, decidí usar al Splinter de Muerte. En la siguiente imagen pueden observar las condiciones de la partida.

¡Let's move on to the battle! As I mentioned before, my strategy is to reduce the opponent's life and magic damage by 2 points. And for that, I decided to use the Death Splinter. In the following image you can see the conditions of the game.

Usé como invocador a Thaddius Brood con la finalidad de tomar ventaja al reducir la vida y el daño mágico del enemigo en 1 punto. En la primera posición usé a Will-O-Wisp con el propósito de tomar ventaja al reducir la vida del enemigo en 1 punto, y también proteger al resto de la composición del daño enemigo. En la Segunda posición usé a Venari Bonesmith con la finalidad de tomar ventaja al aplicar su habilidad “Poison” al enemigo, y también contribuir con el daño desde la segunda línea. En la Tercera posición usé a Life Sapper para contribuir con el daño desde la segunda línea. En la Cuarta posición usé a Elven Mystic con el propósito de tomar ventaja en la batalla al reducir en 1 punto el daño mágico enemigo mediante su habilidad “Silence”, y también para contribuir con el daño desde la segunda línea. Por último, usé a Shadowy Presence con la finalidad de proteger al resto de la composición de posibles ataques de tipo “Sneak” enemigos.

I used Thaddius Brood as a summoner in order to take advantage by reducing the enemy's health and magic damage by 1 point. In the first position I used Will-O-Wisp in order to take advantage by reducing the enemy's life by 1 point, and also to protect the rest of the composition from enemy damage. In the second position I used Venari Bonesmith in order to take advantage by applying his "Poison" ability to the enemy, and also to contribute with damage from the second line. In the third position I used Life Sapper to contribute with damage from the second line. In the fourth position I used Elven Mystic for the purpose of taking advantage in the battle by reducing the enemy's magic damage by 1 point through his "Silence" ability, and also to contribute damage from the second line. Finally, I used Shadowy Presence to protect the rest of the composition from possible enemy "Sneak" attacks.

En el turno 12 de la ronda 1, Venari Bonesmith abatió a Pelacor Conjurer. El enemigo perdió su tanque, aún contaba con 4 monstruos pero con muy poca vida gracias a mi estrategia. Por otra parte, la evasión de Will-O-Wisp estaba funcionando bien a pesar de la reducción de velocidad.

On turn 12 of round 1, Venari Bonesmith took down Pelacor Conjurer. The enemy lost his tank, he still had 4 monsters but with very little life thanks to my strategy. On the other hand, Will-O-Wisp's evasion was working well despite the speed reduction.

En el turno 16 de la ronda 1, Elven Mystic abatió a Time Mage. El enemigo ya sólo contaba con 3 monstruos, y mi composición permanecía completa. La estrategia estaba funcionando.

On turn 16 of round 1, Elven Mystic took down Time Mage. The enemy now had only 3 monsters, and my composition remained complete. The strategy was working.

En el turno 4 de la ronda 2, Life Sapper abatió a Venari Crystalsmith. Mi composición aún estaba completa, y el enemigo ya sólo contaba con 2 monstruos, de los cuales sólo 1 podía atacar. En el turno 2 de la ronda 3, Life Sapper abatió a Pelacor Arbalest, el rumbo de la batalla estaba más que definido. Finalmente, en el turno 1 de la ronda 4, Venari Bonesmith abatió a Celestial Harpy, cerrando la batalla con una victoria. ¿Qué hizo la diferencia entre las estrategias? Pues, el enemigo concentró gran parte de su ofensiva en daño de tipo rango. También no usó un monstruo en la segunda posición que pudiera soportar unos turnos para proteger el resto de su composición, lo que resultó en una gran desventaja. Por otra parte, como pudieron observar la estrategia planteada funcionó a la perfección, y Will-O-Wisp aguantó lo suficiente hasta tomar la ventaja suficiente en la batalla. On turn 4 of round 2, Life Sapper shot down Venari Crystalsmith. My composition was still complete, and the enemy had only 2 monsters, of which only 1 could attack. In turn 2 of round 3, Life Sapper shot down Pelacor Arbalest, the course of the battle was more than defined. Finally, on turn 1 of round 4, Venari Bonesmith took down Celestial Harpy, closing the battle with a victory. What made the difference between the strategies? Well, the enemy concentrated much of its offense on ranged damage. He also did not use a monster in the second position that could withstand a few turns to protect the rest of his composition, which resulted in a big disadvantage. On the other hand, as you could see the strategy worked perfectly, and Will-O-Wisp held enough to take enough advantage in the battle. In the following image you can see all this.
