For any battle just like powers and abilities are important, mana also plays a very important role. Random mana battles are normal and players should stay prepared for them. The main purpose is to properly understand how mana works.
Some players ignore mana and directly select random monsters to start the battle. Because of this some mana gets wasted or they choose monsters with very high mana costs that quickly fill or even exceed the mana cap.
This causes a big problem because in a hurry to balance the mana, players end up selecting the wrong monsters and face defeat in battle. It is important to understand that mana plays a major role in winning any battle.
That is why the campaign has a special chapter dedicated to it. In Waur Medge Chapter 8 is called “Mana” which properly guides players about it. The game does not explain everything in detail there but in this content I have explained it more deeply.
It depends on what type of mana battle you get. There could be low, mid and high mana battles. Positioning changes and strategy is fully affected by mana. Also your way of selection of monsters gets changed according to different mana battles.
For example if you get a low mana battle you should bring forward low mana cards from your deck that still have strong powers and abilities. The strategy is to properly select tank monsters, melee, ranged and support attacks while maintaining good positioning.
I always try to fill as many mana slots as possible. Even if you do not have the best cards your chances of winning still increase because it helps create a better team combination.
Instead of selecting only 2 or 3 monsters in low mana battles I think it is better to fill the maximum number of slots so a strong team combination can be created. Sometimes a monster you usually ignore can become game changing in the right position.
This mostly happens in low mana battles. In mid and high mana battles because more mana is available, players get more selection choices and most of the slots are usually filled.
Another mistake players make is wasting mana during monster selection. For example 2 or 3 mana may remain unused because they do not have a matching monster card and they start the battle anyway. Remember that wasting mana negatively affects battles.
Chapter 8 explains mana properly and also includes a tutorial battle so players can understand it better. If you want to learn more about this topic you must definitely explore Chapter 8 where you will learn and also earn better rewards after completing the chapter.
To enter the campaign you simply needs to open the Splinterlands website and in the top left corner you will see the Campaign option. Click on it and go to Chapter 8. There you will get a short introduction about mana and also a tutorial.
In the tutorial battle you will fight a practical battle and if you win, you will receive 7 monster cards as rewards. As shown in the screenshot players can get very good rewards by completing only a few simple steps.
These may be beginner cards but they will definitely help in battles and give you better selection options. I hope I was able to explain the mana topic properly and that you also enjoyed the rewards.
