Hey!
This week, for the Battlemage Secrets Challenge, we have the “Odd Ones Out” rule. I would usually start posts like this with an introduction about the rule, how it affect us and possible ways to deal with it, however… what is there to say?
The more different cards you got, the less you’ll suffer Even Stevens or Odd Ones Out. There is no room to discuss strategy here.

Lineup & Strategy
Considering the ruleset, Magic was certainly a bad idea and, considering Life was not allowed, I assumed that my opponent was not going to use much Ranged attackers. So, I prepared my lineup expecting Melee attackers.
I picked the Eternan Brune as my Summoner. This card reduces the enemy’s Armor by two points, and for the Gladius I wanted to summon, this effect was perfect.
It was a tough choice, because I don’t consider the Disintegrator a tank, but since it had the Demoralize effect, I put it in the first position.
In the second position, I placed Fina Voxom, my Gladiator and center of my strategy. She had the job of taking down the enemy Monsters… and she succeded.
With three Mana points left, I decided to position a Martyr, in this case the Marksrat, to buff my Gladius even more.
Analysis
My opponent didn’t have a bad lineup at all, actually it’s quite great and it’s also at max cap for the Silver League. I guess that I won because I successfully predicted the use of Melee Monsters and took the risk of using higher Mana Monsters, in order to counter that.
Anyways, this is it for this post, thank you for reading!
