It's Really Tough Out There!
I mean at the Splinterland Battle Field. Lately, I can barely qualify to Champion - 3 league these days and to make matter worse, since I finish the season at C-3, I start the next season in D-3. Here is the funny bit. I immediately drop down to Gold - 1, and struggle and struggle there for 5-6 days!
So here, I was at the end of previous season. But now struggling at the Gold -1 league. Last season was my worst and I was stuck in gold for 100 battles plus at 40% win rate. That is my worst performance till date.
This season is not much different but I plan on improving a couple of things.
I will play less. Last season I played too much early season. That’s for me is generally a bad idea. I like to play 250-270 games per season. I played 100 more last season.
I will rent some strategic cards to plug my weaknesses to Magic.
Yeah, I play magic fairly poorly and worse I defend even more poorly against magic. I plan to plug that hole this season.
So with nearly 5 days gone for the season and I am still playing Gold League! Actually after I wrote the first part of this post, I played some more and didn't advance at all. Basically, the point is that I have to reduce my game play some more. So far, however, I am playing almost as bad as the last season.
Some Cool Battles
These days, I am constantly experimenting with the new CL cards. Since I like to play Death Splinter a lot, Weirding Warrior is a good choice with Oyster Rotwell. As per the lore; "The Weirding Warriors are from the same faction as the Insidious Warlocks of the Chaos Legion"! Its slow like most death cards, but it has Shatter, Rust and Amplify. Its the amplify that I am most interested in. You can see in the battle below how it outperformed a superior all magic attack. It does even better with bigger tank is position 2, but unfortunately in 18 mana battle, the choices are limited. Hope you enjoy the battle by clicking the link below.
