Prologue
Conflicts are about to start! What costs how much? What is the best deal to get the best chances in the conflict? As a bystander (probably not going to buy in this time, as I didn't buy into the pre-sale either and rather went into Land deeper), I can only tell you what the numbers say. And that's what's in here! Hope you enjoy!
Here's the Google-Sheet that I'm using for calculations. You can download it and do your own scenarios with it!
This is a short post with just some numbers that might be helpful to those who want to partake in conflicts. Maybe Beaker already did a tool for that, he's pretty quick. But just in case...

CP Prices
Conflicts are based on CP. This time though, Black Foils get a 0,6 nerf, bringing each BF from 25k to 15k, rounded. Remember that maxed cards get a CP bonus! So it makes sense to try to get maxed cards onto your wagons.
Here's a little picture for CC and CP:
With the current prices, we get to this:
And for those who prefer visuals to tables:
It's not showing in my pre-view, but I hope it will in the text. If not I'll edit it in.
While in the CA conflict Epic-GF were the best bang for the buck, here it seems to be rare - but remember! This does not account for full copies, but the cheapest CC on the market. Sometimes you can get a better deal averaging a different card than the Rare RF here.

How much to spend?
Next big question. That is up to every individual. I bought 2 cards so far of escalation, and I sue both a lot - the 14 mana neutral super-tank, and the scattershot-5-magic-damage orc for 13 mana. I don't think I have others. Doesn't matter, either. If you were to buy in now, and at the prices per CC mentioned above, here are some calculations.
For each guaranteed card, you need 45,150k CP. Based on 325 entries per guaranteed card, and 100k points per entry.
For 1 GC, 4 maxed rare GF cards do the trick already! Theoretically for $140.
10 maxed Epic RF would be at $140, too.
19 maxed Rare RF are the cheapest with $114 - but currently not available for that on the market.
And so on. You can calculate all day and make the coolest scenarios with the calculator, as mentioned. I made one more table to have a direct line to how many cards of each kind you'd need to get a guaranteed card, and how much it would cost to get exactly 1 guaranteed card:

Conclusion
I mean, legendary archons? Always awesome. And pretty neat, too.

This picture alone is nice, but the archon itself surpised me a lot - no 7 mana super beast, but a 3 mana archon. Those can come in very handy.

In a 12 mana battle, one mana more can already make the difference to get another unit in. And in Painforge-Rulesets, the Reckless can also change the whole game.
Still, I'm low on cash at the moment and prefer to build out land to get a steady, in-game cashflow which I can hopefully invest back into a new set when it comes.
Hope you enjoyed the post, anyway! Have a great day!
