Here's my entry for week 150 of Splinterlands Weekly Art Contest. Hope you like it.
Moving Castle's Divine Healer
This art is inspired by the divine healer - a common card from the life splinter which has tank heal and on higher levels will also have a slow ability. A must have card for all life splinter decks.
To make it unique and having just recently watched Studio Ghiblis Howl's Moving Castle, i thought of changing the features a bit and adding Sophie Hatter's signature red bandana.
I also added Calcifer - a powerful fire creature from the same anime film. You just know I needed to add that cute factor which almost all splinterlands cards possess.
So here's how its done. By the way I used my Ipad Tablet and the ProCreate app using a variety of tools
First is the pencil outline of the face
Then using the marker tool - i created solid black outlines to bring out the features. The pencil markings earlier will be hidden from the final work.
Now it's time to add some base colors using the paintbrush (fill) tool.
Now i wil be adding shades in contrast or lighter from the base colors. This provides that 3d or depth effect
Now I will be working on adding the distinct feature of sophie hatter. That signature red bandana.
So following the same principles or steps above: Light Outline - Solid Lining - Painting Base Colors - Adding Shades
Finishing up the Divine Healer X Sophie Hatter before we add calcifer to the mix
And for the final touches. Calcifer and the background color.
All done. Hope you enjoyed.
