HELLO to all Splinterlands readers of my humble blog.ππ»ππ»ππ» Welcome to yet another week of the "new" iteration of the Splinterlands Weekly Challenges π. The "old" Battle Challenges are now a thing of the past (at least for now?) and they have been replaced with the "Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Land 1.75".
For any old Hivers/Splinterlands players who've just come back and are confused, fret not! Even with the name and format tweaks, right at it's core, battles are still the foundation of these posts.
In this week's edition of my Splinterlands Community Engagement Challenge: Land 1.75, I will do something drastically different from my usual battle showcases. Instead of war, I will become a peaceful teacher showing all new players how to most effectively navigate the topic of "Land 1.75".
The Splinterlands universe is on the brink of a ground-breaking transformation with the imminent release of Land Expansion 1.75, scheduled for March 18th. This update promises to redefine land management, resource production, and economic strategies within the game. As landowners and strategists, it's imperative to understand these changes to harness the full potential of your digital realms.
That being said, here's some tips and tricks from Yours Truly which will hopefully help any new player who comes across this guide. Read on to find out more! π
No matter! I present to you β Land 1.75.
So without further ado, let me introduce how best to navigate this seemingly impossible task to you! π
βοΈπ‘οΈ Splinterlands Land 1.75: Build, Trade, ConquerβThe New Era Begins π‘οΈβοΈ
With all that being said, here is how I would advice ALL players on how you can capitalize on some of these simple strategies!
New Resources: Diversifying the Land's Bounty
The introduction of three new resourcesβWood, Stone, and Ironβmarks a pivotal shift in land productivity. Here's a breakdown:
Wood: Essential for constructing and upgrading various structures. Produced primarily in terrains like Swamp, Forest, Tundra, and Jungle. Production rate: 0.005 units per production point per hour.
Stone: A fundamental material for building durable edifices. Found in Desert, Canyon, and Hills terrains. Production rate: 0.002 units per production point per hour.
Iron: The backbone of advanced machinery and tools. Extracted from Mountain, Badlands, and Caldera terrains. Production rate: 0.0005 units per production point per hour.
It's noteworthy that these resources have lower production rates compared to Grain (0.02 units per production point per hour), underscoring their scarcity and value. This scarcity is poised to add a new layer of strategy, as players must judiciously manage and prioritize resource allocation.
Terrain-Specific Worksites: Aligning Land and Labour
The efficacy of resource production is now intrinsically linked to terrain compatibility:
Grain Farms: Optimal in Plains, River, Bog, and Lake terrains.
Logging Camps: Best suited for Swamp, Forest, Tundra, and Jungle terrains.
Quarries: Ideal for Desert, Canyon, and Hills terrains.
Mines: Exclusive to Mountain, Badlands, and Caldera terrains.
For instance, a Grain Farm situated on incompatible terrain will automatically convert to a suitable resource production site upon the first harvest, ensuring no land goes underutilized. This auto-conversion mechanism emphasizes the importance of strategic planning in land development.
Liquidity Pools and Resource Swaps: Fuelling a Dynamic Economy
The update introduces DEC-based liquidity pools for Wood, Stone, and Iron, offering players avenues to trade and invest in these scarce resources. Key features include:
Resource Swaps: Facilitate direct exchanges between different materials, streamlining in-game economic transactions.
Liquidity Provider Incentives: Participants earn fees, transforming liquidity management into a viable revenue stream.
This system is expected to stabilize resource availability and pricing, fostering a more resilient and player-driven economy.
Strategic Preparations: Ready Your Realm
To capitalize on Land 1.75, consider the following strategies:
Assess and Align: Evaluate your land plots to ensure resource production aligns with terrain types.
Diversify Holdings: Engage in the new liquidity pools to balance resource portfolios and mitigate scarcity risks.
Optimize Production: Prioritize building and upgrading structures that enhance resource yields, keeping in mind the consumption rates during SPS or Research harvesting.
Embracing the New Dawn of Splinterlands
Land Expansion 1.75 is more than an update; it's a paradigm shift that enriches the strategic depth and economic complexity of Splinterlands. By understanding and adapting to these changes, players can elevate their gameplay experience and secure a prosperous foothold in this evolving landscape. As we stand on the cusp of this new era, the opportunities are vast for those prepared to seize them.
Prepare your lands, strategize your resources, and may your endeavours in Splinterlands flourish as we embark on this exciting journey together.
