The following article will look at the investment potential for the magi of chaos monster. We will examine the power of the card, current cost to cp ratio, as well as comparison to past cards.
Power
The magi is a very underrated card in my opinion given its usability in most rulesets and across all elements given it is a neutral card. Two magic is strong against every summoner except for thaddius. Summoners such as obsidian and alric boost this card to supreme power and will be usable in both the modern and wild format. The oppress ability is less than powerful in most cases but in higher leagues can be quite effective.
Current cost
The cp to cost ratio is currently at 60cp to 1USD. The total cost for the card is at $1.68 right now. That would have been a bargain if you were to have been playing this game two to three months ago.
Card comparisons
Magi Sphinx Neutral Beta $31
Both cards have two magic attack and the magi sphinx gains no ability throughout leveling up. Understandably, being a beta card there is going to be a premium however even if we cut this in half you have a 15x return.
Mischeivous Mermaid Beta $20
This card is a water only monster and the only ability it gains is dodge at higher levels. Another fair comparison in my opinion given the utility of the card. Again, even if we assume half of this value you are still 10x your ROI.
Magi of the forest Earth Beta $25
This is the same comparison as above for the mermaid. Two magic monster with no or minimal ability at higher levels.
As you can hopefully see above, this card has a lot of room for growth over the next few months and years. Magic will always be powerful and being a neutral card is a great bonus for the magi of chaos. There will most likely be future magic buff summoners across further card pack releases which continues to strengthen the value case for this card. Please comment if you would like another card examined in the future this way.
