For this week’s challenge, the focus is on the Water splinter Card, Electric Eels eels eels eels eels. He starts with the Reach ability at Level 1, but it’s at Level 5 whereby he starts to shine with the Blast ability. So that’s where I rent him for the purpose of this review. For 3.5 DEC per day, it’s a really decent deal!
Every time I use this card, the phrase “electric eels eels eels eels eels” keeps popping into my head and I can’t figure out what song it is. So here is another great song by MGMT for you instead.
Featured Card – Electric Eels
It’s a great 2nd place card as it has the Reach ability which lets it attack from that position, coupled with the Blast ability which lets it damage their 2nd place card too. For 4 Mana, it’s great value especially with these stats (2 Melee attack, 4 Speed & 6 HP)
The Battle
Ruleset : Spreading Fury (Enrage for all) & Equalizer (Every has the same initial health)
With 18 Mana for this battle, having lower Mana cost tanks were a must and this suited the Electric Eels just fine. I played 4 cards versus the opponents 6 cards, and this worked well as my 3 melee cards benefited from the Pirate Captain’s Inspire ability.
Check out the awesome win here as my opponent had no chance, not because of my awesome set-up, but the bot just chose the most random monsters to use with only 1 damage dealing card. :D
Final thoughts
I haven’t experimented much with Electric Eels, but this battle challenge has really piqued my interest in this monster. Given that it has a fairly low rental cost, I might just hang on to this monster and play a bit more and see if this would fit into my stable of repeat rentals.
Lastly, if anyone knows what that song is or where that phrase “electric eels eels eels eels eels” is from, please let me know……please!!
