I wanted to name this blog series "Analysis of Quest Potion SOPR" but I realised that SOPR would be an incorrect term to use. Profitability, at best.
Anyway, I believe some chaps have been writing about the profitability of the game for a few years. Yes, it is a long game we must play as tangible profits are an accumulation, compounded into months and years of consistency.
Ok enough talk.
I hope this is of use to all :)
The purpose of this blog series is to track the profitability of the Loot Chests that the Quest Potions yield in comparison to the price of the Potion.
It grants the user 5 additional Loot Chests upon completion of Daily Quests.
As I am in the Silver III League, I receive a standard quantity of 2 Loot Chests as part of Daily Quest Rewards.
The exercise will commence on 5 Aug 2021 and end on 18 Aug 2021, the day of which will be used as the control to approximate the value of 2 standard Loot Chests. Due to oversight, the 10 Charge promo (10+1) was only purchased on Day 2, after completion of the Daily Quest. The average cost per Quest Potion is USD 0.6818.
Therefore, a total of 13 Quest Potions will be used for this exercise.
Duration: 14 days
Day 1
Amount Spent: USD0.75
Amount Received (Approx amount in USD at the time of recording on 5 Aug 2021.):
11 DEC and 55 DEC (Approx. USD 0.42)
2x Demented Shark Cards (Approx USD 0.40)
1x Phantasm (Approx USD 0.23)
1x Legendary (40 DEC/ USD 0.04)
1x Alchemy Potion (50 DEC/ USD 0.05)
Total earned: USD1.14
Profit: 28%
Pretty decent gains, although I feel that Legendary and Alchemy Potions aren't much use. I immediately combined my Demented Sharks and placed them up for rent. Kept Phantasm for use later on as it came in handy.
See yall tmr!
