INTRO -
Hi Guys, welcome to another Special Edition of Share Your Battle Challenge, where I'm Focused on this Weeks Theme Monster, Regal Preyton. Once Again, I hope to Delve into the Elements of This Monster and Take a Look at What Makes it Stand Out.
Even Though I haven't been Playing Splinterlands For Very Long, I'm Learning more about It's Set of Unique Monster through the Weekly Share Your Battle Challenge so that I can Discover More Monsters that is Worth Being Added to my Ultimate Battle Team.
What's My Ultimate Battle Team?:
Simply, A Collection of Monsters with Strong Battle Statistics and Strategic Abilities that can Guarantee An Increase in Win-Rate.
One Such Monster In this Collection, is Diemonshark, from Last Week's Share Your Battle Challenge.
So, Let's Go Ahead and Take a Look at Regal Preyton and If see what's it's Truly Capable of in a Typical Battle
My thoughts on Regal Preyton
From the First Time I Saw Regal Preyton (which was a few Weeks Back), My thoughts were exactly like; What Could this Monster Possibly Achieve for me with Just 5 Speed and 1 Magic Attack.
Well, I'm not a Fan of Low Attacking Stats so You can Understand my Instant Dislike, it wasn't anything Personal Though.
Afterwards though, I also reckoned that it Has Some Solid Health with 6 Stats, which is Considerably Above Average (about 3) Which Most Monsters in Splinterlands Has. Again, it is also an Earth Monster so this Wasn't too Suprising.
So Now, I had some Conflicting Thoughts Between Health (In other Words, Endurance) and It's Attack Stats. I Needed a Final Quality Statistics in Regal Reyton that Would Eventually Settle my Long Term View on this Monster, Such as - A Monster I can Bank on When In need of a Win, OR A Monster whose Success Rate is Highly Dependent on TeamMates.
This Week's Share Your Battle Finally Gave me the Chance to Access Some other Qualites Of Using Regal Preyton
What Makes Regal Preyton Unique
One Quality that I've Discovered to be Critical to the Success of Regal Preyton in Battles is It's Flying Ability. After Seeing this in Action Multiple times, I've actually Come to Respect Flying Monster a Lot More! WHY?
Well, Proir to Obeserving Regal preyton in a Close Battle as You will Soon See Below, I Largely UnderEstimated the Power of It's Special Ability > FLYING. The Flying Ability as we all Know Is Activated on a Chance-by-Chance basis Unlike Some Other Abilities which are Guaranteed to be Active Every Round.
Flying Ability; Has an Increased Chance of Evading Melee or Ranged Attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying Ability.
The Success Rate of Flying Ability is Largely Unguaranteed But Can Save Your Battles in the Most Critical Moments, as it DID for Me.
The Flying Ability Could Literally Compete Head On With High Attack Monsters Such as Fire Elemental Serpentine Spy Charged with +3 Melee Attack(Activated with Fire Summoner: Tarsa).
The Flying Ability Could Go Unnoticed If your Monster is in Other Positions Other than First, Which is Majorly How I've been Using it in Battles, But Can be Appreciated Once Your Monster is in the First Position.
What Makes Regal Preyton Unique then, is It's Flying Ability, Coupled with It's +5 Speed (Accordingly this Increases the Chance for Your Oppoenent Monsters to Miss), and Finally, It's Strong Health Support Giving it the Maximum Chance to Activate it's Flying Ability and Maybe Turn Your Battle Around, as it did mine.
Monster in Battle & My Strategy
Battle Details: In My Battle, I Used Regal Preyton in a 20 Mana Cap Battle, No Match Modifications, and Against a Fire Elemental Team. My Strategy Worked Quite Well, although I came out with a Loss of Two Monsters. Because of the Low Mana Cap though, I Deployed just 4 Monsters in my Team. Let's check out the Lineup.
My Battle Line-up: For this Battle, I Deployed Summoner Obsidian along with THREE Other Monsters from the Chaos of Legion Edition, Earth Elemental (Regal Preyton, Mycelic Morphoid, Goblin Psychic), and One Neutral Monster from the Untamed Cards Edition (Elven Mystic).
My Battle Strategy: My Strategy for this Battle was to Utilize the Flying Ability of Regal Preyton in the First Place Position, Along with Supporting Teammates with Magic Puff Attack, with Summorner Obsidian Suppling a +1 Magic Attack Bump.
First- Obsidian is suppling three Monsters out of Four with +1 Magic Attack. This Greatly Increases the Attack of Both Front Man Regal Preyton, and Monster in the Rear Position, Elven Mystic. This is Important Because I Know that Elven Mystic will Be Among the Last Monsters to be Eliminated.
Secondly- I kept Goblin Psychic in the Third Position, because of His Special Ability(Tank Heal) to Heal Monsters in the First Place. This Strategy Worked Up till an Extent, Until he was Elminated. But He Was Able to Activate His Healing Ability ONE Time which was very crucial, As the Second Place Monster (Mycelic Morphoid) took an Hit Earlier than him.
Lastly- The Most Obvious Advantage in my Battle as You can See from Watching it Below comes from the Special Ability of Regal Preyton. Dealing Considerable Hits, He Was also able to Evade the Attack of ALL the Monsters in my Opponents Team since None of them were Magic Attackers and were either Melee or Ranged.
He Succesffuly Evaded 3 Hits from the Opposing Team, Including a Cruclial One from Serpentine Spy which Waould have Ended up Making me Lose this Battle.

Summary
After all these and judging from the Outcome of my Battle Above, One thing is for Certain, I would Love to Continue to Experiment with Regal Preyton.
I see it More as a Deceptive Monster, the Monster that can Truly Bring Out the Fun from Battles, and leave You in Laughter When You Lose a Battle, OR Leave Your Opponent In Shock and Constant Disbelief. WHY? You Never know When THAT FLYING ability will get Activated.
As for whether Regal Preyton would get Into my Ultimate Battle Team? I'll leave that Detail for When I can Understand it in more Details, such as - His Abilities Against Different Elements. For Now, I will wrap it up with; His Uncertainity is too much than I can Handle, Except on the days I'm Feeling Really Mischievious!.
