Majority of the people playing Splinterlands have nowhere near as much buying power as you do, but I can tell you that in essence, all cards are "future-proof" because they are depreciating assets. I'm sure you wouldn't need me to tell you that you might not immediately make back your investment, but it will definitely appreciate over time (granted you stay with the game long enough).
