I was sitting on 2,043 rating points on the last day of the season, so I rented the 75,000 power to push me from Silver 3 to Gold 3, which resulted in me winning 22 Gold Chests instead of 12 Silver Chests. It also meant I started the new season in Silver 3, instead of going back to Bronze.
My rewards were good but not great.
3 of the new reward cards (1 Epic, no legendary)
2 Mercenaries, 2 Conjurers & 1 Bandit.

The other good thing about finishing in Gold, is that I will receive Gold chests all season, however that seems to be mitigated by the fact that I need to earn more focus points to earn chests.
I now need around 18,000 per chest, whereas Silver seems to be around 11,000.
On the first day of the new rewards system, I failed to get the required focus points, however the jury is still out on whether I will ultimately benefit, as my focus was on Life which is one of my weakest. I would have refreshed the focus, however, I didn’t log on until halfway through my 24 hour period.
I also experienced how much more difficult the first day of a new season was last month when I failed to get out of Bronze due to all the non-bot players also climbing on day 1.
