Yes my strategy worked, although I didn't realize that my CORAL WRAITH could be attacked by a monster with Opportunity ability and this just happened in this case.

What will you try differently next time?

Next time I would be more careful in the alignment of my cards so that the selected card as in this case CORAL WRAITH was not allowed to shine and show what it is capable of doing despite its few lives.
