Hello Splinterlandians,
today I want to continue my blog series "In The Spotlight", where I explain you all the important stuff about one single card. I will talk about lore and artwork, the stats, the combinations and tactics and I'll show you a battle with the card as an example.
For today I want to talk about the Sand Worm, which was introduced with the reward cards of the Untamed set. It is a common neutral card, which main characteristic is its high melee sneak attack. But let's jump into the details and don't waste time, have fun while reading and thanks in advance for every sort of support.
Lore and Artwork:
Stats:
Combinations and Tactics:
- I often play the Sand Worm with the fire splinter and Tarsa, because it gets another melee attack point and it harmonizes very well with the other Sneak monsters like Tenyii Striker.
- Try to defend it in your lineup, because otherwise the Sand Worm is a simple target to kill with its low health and speed points.
- When you anticipate your opponent keeping his backline open with low health and slow monsters, Sand Worm performs great.
- The ruleset Reverse Speed is awesome for Sand Worm, with Aim True it's similiar. Other good rulesets are Equalizer and Up Close & Personal.
Battle:
In my battle the ruleset Reverse Speed was active and the fire splinter was available, so it was a simple choice to take Sand Worm into my lineup. In the first action of the battle it just onehits the enemies Scavo Firebolt easily. It's no surpise that the Sand Worm carried this battle with its decent attack points and gave me an easy win.
Final Words:
The Sand Worm is a card like no other so far in the Splinterlands. It has many use cases in the different rulesets so you should have this card in your collection, even if it's only on the first level. I bought one BCX when I started playing Splinterlands and use it up to now frequently. By the way, the card isn't that expensive right now with round about 0.39$.
What do you think about the Sand Worm? Thanks for reading and have some nice days!
