Happy Tuesday everyone and welcome to the my weekly HSBI giveaway for the Splinterlands community!
Yesterday I didn't manage to post the giveaway because I'm currently very busy in my private life. That's why I'm posting the giveaway today. This week there was some smaller news about Splinterlands. On the one hand, Splinterlands is celebrating its seventh birthday and there are some smaller events. In addition, the Training and Challenge mode has been slightly reworked. If you still want to buy Kelan Gaines in the Voucher Shop, you should do so soon, as he will be leaving the Voucher Shop on June 17th. And last but not least, the new Campaign mode has just been patched into the game, but due to time restrictions I won't be reporting on this until next week.
Answers to the last Question:
Last week's question was "What is your strategy for buying Yaba's Pickle?". This time, 12 people took part and answered the question. Let's have a look at some of your answers.
I will buy what my sps stake allows me to. Then wait a good while till the hype wears off and we can see the true price of the card settle in and buy some more then.
I think that sounds like a good strategy. In the past, it was often the case with these promo cards that they were cheaper to buy in the normal marketplace than they were in the “official” sale.
Set some DEC aside I'm earning with my blogs, I'm hoping to get a lvl 5!
Hoping because it's hard NOT to spend my DEC, there are so many good cards I still want lol
The fact that you can earn money with your blogs here on Hive is a really great thing. I do it in a similar way and invest a part of it in Splinterlands cards. At level 5, the card will probably be pretty strong. There it also gets the important and good ability Shield.
My strategy, as someone who discovered Splinterlands at the beginning of the year and only has ~300 SPS staked so far, is to hope that the secondary market price isn't too high.
First priority though is building up my deck now that the new card set release has pushed almost all of my good cards out of Modern...
Nice to have you in our community! If you ever need help, no matter what kind, you can contact me at any time. It's probably a good strategy to buy the important and very strong cards first before getting Yaba's Pickle for a high price. The card doesn't look bad, but I think it's more for more advanced players.
I'll just buy the regular versions as much as I can, likely around 250 and I'll have to see how I get the rest.
If you are in the higher leagues, it would of course be ideal to get the card at maximum level, as it receives the Heal ability here. Maybe you'll also get one or two Gold Foils or even Black Foils with this high number. In any case, I wish you the best of luck!
Personally, I'm unlikely to buy the card during the official sale, if at all. Only when the sale is over will I buy it on the marketplace if necessary and hope that it is cheaper there. In my opinion, I just don't think the card is so good that it's worth the price. But I have to honestly admit that my opinion or tactics could still change, as I haven't had too much time to deal with the card or the sale itself.
And the Winner is...
It's time to draw the winner of the last giveaway.
