Greetings! I'm back to bring a battle with the condition "Close Range", as a participation to the weekly battle challenge. To be honest this condition did not come out in an exciting way, due to the lack of archers on the battlefield, but there were some interesting moments.
From Splinterlands and edited with CANVA
We start with the well known Unicorn Mustang, this fantasy creature is the main tank of many of the battles that take place in the bronze and silver league, its ability, speed, damage and life in relation to the mana it demands is quite good, even at level one, which makes it a very good choice. So much so that it is not uncommon for her to be present in both teams.
Already in the second position a well-known magic tank appears in the opponent's lineup, Mycelic Splispawm. A Lovecrafnian looking creature that counts on Taunt to focus my team's attention on itself, thus giving time to the rest of its team to focus the offense.
In my lineup was Sporecer the creature of choice, this fungal companion is not only a powerful mage, but also reduces armor, so combined with Mushroom Seer, it is possible to make quite an interesting combo of "fungal" mages.
Javelin Thrower was to attack from a distance in third place, this javelin throwing mistress, who is part of the Beta edition and who according to her Lore comes from a tribe of wild women rarely seen in settlements or towns, owes her clothing to the reptiles she hunts. Her speed is to be admired and her damage is not to be underestimated. Already at level 1 he has an ability capable of ignoring the particularity that if an attack exceeds the value of the armor, the remaining damage is not deducted from the life, his ability is well named because it "pierces" armor.
In rival terrain, Regal Peryton, another popular creature in many battles, stands out for its speed and skill that gives it a lot of ability to dodge. Its magic power is low, so it is common to see it combined with Obsidian, but this time Mushroom Seer canceled that buff with its "Silence".
In the fourth position, a well known mage princess appears, she is slow but having a mage for 2 damage is an advantage that can turn the battles around, again the ability of Mushroom Seer, prevented the magic damage from increasing and the balance was more in my favor.
Already in the end Goblin Psychic appeared in both teams, his magic damage power and his ability to heal make him very popular among the strategies with the earth splinter. For my part I had the advantage in level and damage (buff of
Obsidian).
For the rival terrain it is possible to observe how behind Goblin Psychic, an archer accompanied him, in his golden edition but in level 1 because the summoner used did not have enough level to take advantage of the refulgent brightness of a golden card that translates into a high level, with few cards.
The complete alineation was:

Curious fact:
Ironically, it was Goblin Psychic who knocked down the rival Goblin Psychic. The only difference between them was the level. Another curious fact of this battle is that only the golden archer was able to take advantage of the "Close Range" battle condition, because in this battle there were only two "archers", and the javelin thrower with reptilian clothes was not in front.
The performance of my team was quite remarkable, no card fell and already in the 4th round things were decided, although in all honesty, there was a level difference present and the combo of mages with debuff made things quite unbalanced.
