I wish I was as inspired with the strategy for the previous soulbound reward cards set, at least once the chests were introduced! But then I focused exclusively on draws. It's not that the strategy was bad, because I was 4 BCXs (2 cards) away from having a full maxed set. But I guess you can always thrive for better.
For the new set, in the second round of purchases from the Glint Shop, I pulled the jackpot: 😀
My track record with RNG isn't spectacular with the new set yet, but I'm ok with that, since I focus on building my regular foils, not my gold foils.
The prices in the Glint Shop will require further focusing, apparently, at least at the rate I earn them. Initially, I thought I would have enough Glint every season for the full first batches of the Ultimate Chests and Legendary Draws, plus a partial of whatever I choose, either Major Chests or Epic Draws.
Looks like that won't be enough. I purchased the Ultimate Chests first, and then I only had enough Glint for 7 Legendary Draws and with the rest I purchased 2 Epic Draws too. I might purchase the remaining 3 Legendary Draws throughout the season. But that means I'll have even less draws next season... I'll need to think about it.
My progress is ok, but not as spectacular as in the first season when I had more than double the amount of Glint to spend. Started from here:
and ended up here:
+5% to Legendary to 14%, +1% to Epic to 9%, which are the rarities I focus on.
Last season, I was able to buy full batches of both draws. Now only 7/10 Legendaries and 2/25 Epics.
Looks like this is going to take a while, for sure. Estimates are, at my level of earning Glint, it will take about a year. What these estimates don't account for is the RNG. It was because of RNG that I didn't have a complete set last time. Everything works perfectly at the beginning. But when you start to max out cards, you reduce your chances to pull the cards you need, instead of doubles. At the same time, later on you can choose to burn some cards for extra Glint. So, maybe things do even out.
So far the progress is nice though... I already have 4 Legendaries at level 2, and, although not focusing on them, a common at level 5 (because I pulled 5x the GF version in one chest):
I like its Sneak with Range, and the Thorns, but a 1-Attack at 6 mana, not so much. Of course, at max level it has 2 attack, and it is a neutral card. And if you combine it with a +1 Range summoner, 3 Range attack to the backline isn't so bad, particularly when there is no armor. Of course, it wouldn't be my favorite card. I just paid more attention to it since it is the one I have at a mid level very quickly.
