I know most of us who have seen the Splinterlands Town Hall meeting (live or recorded) already, get positive vibes from the marketing plan presentation, which is about to kick off in a few weeks. That's something we really miss on Hive done properly, and when we do, it has to be after going through internal fights over it. Looking forward to see the results of that, but I love the iterative approach, and keeping at it until it becomes profitable for the Splinterlands ecosystem, something the team doing the marketing has a direct vested interested in since they take a good portion of their payment as locked SPS.
But... that is still a couple of weeks to go, debuting with the presale or the general sale of Conclave Arcana.
In the meantime, next week we have Survival Mode coming, which has been on the Mavs server for a while now. It will come at the same time with a revamp of the Leaderboard rewards, which will be separated by leagues, and to the 100th rank, but giving out Glint instead of DEC. Also, the rank at the beginning of the season determines on what Leaderboard a player is ranked.

For anyone intending to play Survival Mode who doesn't have cards for this mode on a separate account, I suggest and get to work and create a set with the cards you don't want in Survival Mode (most likely the ones you regularly play in Ranked or Brawls or Tournaments), otherwise Survival Mode couldowns will mess your entire play deck(s) up for the other modes. I talked more about this and the reasons for doing it here.
Also note that there is no revival potion at the launch of Survival Mode, so you can't pay to get rid of the cooldown on a card you want to use on the other modes (or in Survival Mode).
You can do an autofill, to create a set, but I discovered that it's much better to go in and take a manual approach for a granular management, if you have the time and want to see how things stand and potentially to rebalance cards between land and the play deck. Depending on how many cards you need to go over for your play deck(s) and the details you look at, this can take a very long time. It took me a few hours in two separate days, and I am about half-way through, without a final review of a couple of cards I need a second look at.
So, make your choices, but know that if you want to take the manual route it will take time, and Survival Mode is released on Thursday (not Tuesday!), unless something unexpected comes out.
I heard the new PvE campaign mode is really nice too, even though for the time being it will be targeted mostly toward new players. I'll go through that campaign nonetheless, when it comes out! 😀
Testing for Land 1.75 begins next week. Next thing after releasing it (in March) will be to tie up Land rewards to the rest of the game (awesome!), and then more work toward Land 2.0.
Mobile apps are ready too, and in testing, if you were wondering...
Yep! Things are heating up in Splinterlands!
