Hi Guys! In this post we are exploring on another Splinterlands ruleset. The ruleset we are focusing on is Stampede.

In a Stampede ruleset, melee units with Trample will retrigger infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units.
Prime use case for Summoner Possibilus the Wise.
Lets take a look at a Wild Silver ranked match with Stampede as one of the ruleset. The battle restrictions are:
Fire & Regret and Stampede with a max mana of 33. Only Fire, Water, Earth and Life splinters are allowed in this battle. The Video for the Full Battle can be seen here:

| Splinter | Mana Cost | Position | Reason |
|---|---|---|---|
| Possibilus the Wise | 6 | Summoner | Possibilus has the ability to give Trample to all my units. This together with the Stampede ruleset would makes my melee units scary. |
| The Kraken | 12 | 1st | Kraken is a great tank here. Kraken has good armor and great health. Most importantly it also has Demoralize which will weaken enemy melee units damage. This means even if my enemy units have Trample as well, their melee attacks will be lower. |
| Coastal Sentry | 10 | 2nd | Coastal Sentry is usually my goto 2nd unit in a Possibilus setup. Coastal Sentry has very high melee damage and more importantly has Double Strike. But it has low armor and health thus making it not a good tank. With Possibilus, it will gain Reach and would form a formidable 2nd unit in my Possibilus' team while protected by Kraken. |
| Merdaali Guardian | 3 | 3rd | I need a healer to keep my Kraken alive long enough for my Coastal Sentry to do its work. |
| Igor Darkspear | 2 | 4th | I have only 2 mana left and needed some additional damage. I chose Igor Darkspear to add some additional attack even though it will suffer damage from the other ruleset, Fire & Regret. The additional +2 health given to it from Possibilus should allow Igor Darkspear to survive a few rounds though. |
| Total Mana: | 33 |
Opponent Lineup:
My opponent went with a Water splinter lineup with Kelya Frendul as the summoner. Kelya is a pain to face in the Stampede ruleset because he will give +1 armor to all the enemy units. This means my trampling will be stop by the armor. However my opponent will have problem getting through my Kraken as my Kraken will have a total of 16 health points (+2 from Possibilus) and I have a healer at the back to keep it alive.
End of Round 1:
My Kraken held itself very well in the first round. Demoralize really helped it and Kraken ended the round still in full round. Meanwhile my opponent Djinn Oshannus lost almost half its health even though it managed to dodge one of my Coastal Sentry's attack.
End of Round 2:
Although my opponent also had a healer plus armor repairer to support the enemy Djinn Oshannus, my Kraken and Coastal Sentry's attacks were still too strong. The Djinn Oshannus was unable to block my attacks and died in this round. At this point, the remaining opponent lineup looks very exposed.
End of Round 3:
The opponent's Pelacor Bandit was able to dodge 2 of my attacks and survived but it didn't really matter. The important thing was my opponent couldn't broke my Kraken and thus had no chance of winning this match.
End of Round 4:
With the opponent's Pelacor Bandit dead, the remaining enemy units would be picked off easily.
End of Round 5:
The final round saw my Coastal Sentry killing 3 enemy units in a single round. This is the scary effect of Stampede and Trample.
KEY STRATEGY
My strategy was to use Kraken to hold the front line while my Coastal Sentry with its Double Strike will bombard from the 2nd position with Reach ability given by Possibilus. The entire strategy worked like a chime.
SUMMARY
Possibilus is one of the best summoner to use in Stampede ruleset. If you don't have Possibilus, any summoner that give extra armor is a good alternative as units with armors will usually stop a trampling enemy creating a killing spree.
In short, avoid having a lineup of small health units with no armor in your lineup in a Stampede ruleset.

My guild, The Guild of Kingshaven, is also looking for new members. For added incentive to joining us, our guild leader will also be assigning Runi to any new member that can actively participate in brawl battles and give donation to our guild buildings. Runi is extremely powerful and is the only unit that has the Rebirth ability.
