The end of the 25th season of the new rewards system has come and the 10th full season of the new Soul Bound Reward Cards set (43 cards). Here's what I got from my 67 Champion chests (Expected Value: $8.85 --> Actual Value: $7.47):
- 167 Alchemy Potions;
- 196 Legendary Potions;
- 313.51 SPS;
- a total of 90 cards - 2 Legendaries; 6 Epics; 1 GF Epic; 3 Summoners;
- 4,893 merits;
- 2 packs;
Well these were my 7th ever EOS Champion chests and these were not my best Champion chests so far but still pretty good. I got less cards this EOS compared to the amount of cards I received last EOS but that's how RNG works.
I am pleased with the amount of chests I earned as a whole this season. This time around I started in Diamond due to the new league changes so I could earn Diamond level chests throughout the whole season.
Here's the summary for the whole season - 126 Champion Chests and 67 Diamond Chests (total value: $19.88):
- 8 packs;
- 596.70 SPS;
- 212 cards - 6 Legendaries; 7 Epics; 1 GF Epic; 4 Summoners; 7 GF Summoners;
- 6,502 Merits;
- 573 Alchemy Potions;
- 888 Legendary Potions;

- 63 Legendary Potions;
- 101 Alchemy Potions;
- 17.75 SPS;
- a total of 45 cards; 3 GF Legendaries!!!; 3 epics;

This is the image from yesterday:
Compared to two weeks ago:
So, we have managed to burn an additional 18M DEC and 2M DEC-B. It was expected that the 2nd half of the event will not be that "hot" as the multiplier for the raffle tickets was significantly lower. Still any amount of DEC burned is useful.
As for the raffle itself - a lot of people were disappointed with what they got but I did heard about two people who got a Runi and a plot of land with 8 and 3 entries respectively. I am sure they are very pleased with the outcome. This is how lotteries usually work. RNG is a cruel mistress.
- Another noteworthy thing which was officially introduced this week was the new filters and UI lay-out introduced to the card section of our beloved game. This update is related to the tech modernization and has to go through to the displeasure of a fair amount of people who seem to have some issues related to the look and useability of the new UI. I, however, really like the fact that there are a lot more filtering options now, and I really think it does look more modern and appealing. It's just a matter of getting used to it.
- Lastly I want to share my thought on the most recent pre-proposal which will definitely make it to the Proposal stage, so I guess we'll be able to vote on it in-game next week.
As you can read in the screenshot above, Matt is proposing different fee levels (in DEC/DEC-B) for the different rarities of soulbound cards, which have to be paid so they can be used on land. I don't agree with the general premise of this, that soulbound cards are somehow "free" to be earned and so we need to pay in order to use them but what makes this proposal even worse is that the actual fees are really, really high. I just can't agree that having to pay 100K DEC just to be able to use your maxed GF legendary on land is anything else but outrageous. I won't spend too much time on this as I have already voted against it with my modest SPS stake of about 55,000 SPS, and I know that won't get the "No" vote anywhere but I will list my main points against this proposal anyway:
- Soulbound cards are not "free" to get, you actually have to invest in your deck and invest time in the game in order to earn them.
- I am yet to see any proof of any large bot farms which are also large land holders, if anyone has any evidence for that, please share it with me.
- I really think the people who "brought this to Matt's attention" are just interested to make SB cards unusable on land so they can sell their card stockpiles more easily. SB cards would hurt their "business".
- These horrendous fees are just to "manifest" the cards on land. They are not even everything that has to be paid if you also want to unlock the card (make it tradable). You will have to pay even more when that happens.
- Lastly Matt said he might consider also including vouchers for some sort of a discount. I am interested to see how many vouchers will be required and what discount they will bring, however, I don't think it will be cheap in voucher terms either.
Well this is it for now - yet another week in the world of Splinterlands is upon us. Play More, Bot Less! <3
