Chaos Legion is out since yesterday. Wax Street members ripped their packs, did their fair share of battles and were asked to share their favourite card.
7. Magi Necrosi
is a huge fan of that epic Death guy. A magic Snipe card with good speed and Camouflage at lvl 1 makes it a solid upgrade over Untamed's Death Elemental, at justifiably higher mana cost.
Lvl 4 adds Oppress to the mix making it strong against pure support cards, whilst lvl 6 adds Stun which can be the deciding factor in a Battle.
6. Riftwing
Among all Epic and Legendary cards, picked a humble common. At level 5, Riftwing is a surprisingly punchy meatshield. The card synergizes well with 0 mana fillers, Dr Blight and several other Death mechanisms. Not convinced? See Riftwing at work!
5. Xenith Monk
Time for fav, Xenith Monk! He may seem underwhelming at first glance, but once he hits level 2 he has heal. A neutral, 4 mana monster with 6 health, 3 speed , 1 melee attack and heal is a powerful asset to any low mana battle. At level 6, the rare monster adds void to his arsenal and once maxed at level 8 becomes a formidable tank with the addition of magic reflect to go along with his 8 health, 4 speed and 2 attack power.
4. Hardy Stonefish
A surprinsingly popular pick among WS, the Hardy Stonefish is one of and
new favorite cards. Fights leave you very often with 1 mana left to use and little options to utilize it well. The Ooze is the traditional go-to for that slot but there are a lot of scenarios where Hardy Stonefish is a versatile option. Protection from sneak attacks, neutral quests, and low mana rulesets are where this guy wants to shine. There are several fresh 0-1 mana cost offerings in the newest release but as of now, the extra shield makes Stonefish one of WS favorite.
3. Dr. Blight
played with the new CL cards for hours, and said he didn't have a favorite so far but chose to highlight Dr. Blight.
With his latest patch swapping Slow for Camo and increasing his healthy by 1, he's a stud for 4 mana. Once he's level 3, he's doing 2 magic damage and has Affliction, Camo, Poison, and Scavenger. This is a lot of firepower for a 4 cost, especially when paired with Alric or Obsidian. At level 4, he gains Weaken which further solidifies him as a strong support card.
2. Goblin Psychic
Another common entering our watchlist thanks to : the
Goblin Psychic. He will become staple of my deck at level 1 its an expensive healer at 6 mana compared to wood nymph at 4 mana but this guy starts off with 2 damage compared with 1 for Wood Nymph. Coupled with Obsidian, this guy can hit for 3 dmg at level 1.
At higher levels, the card gains affliction, dispell and silence, effectively allowing you to wield very useful abilities in one card.
1. Wave Brood
One of our four Legionnaires, , picked Wave Brood. With taunt, short range and void armor, A levelled wave brood with 13 hp makes for huge tactical advantage! You could use him to diffuse aggro on your frontliner, and it is incredible in absorbing damage from mages. Pair it with a monster that has triage for maximum results.
We hope you liked that watchlist and feel free to comment with your own favourite! And follow the Wax Street community for more content!
