Greetings, fellow Splinterlanders! 👋
After 2 months of playing Splinterlands and investing in cards, I’ve reached Silver III and am able to win my way up to Gold III. Yay! 😃
Like the previous season, I decided to rent power toward the end of season (hereon referred to as “EoS”) to secure Gold III rewards--a whopping 22 loot chests!
Gold league-chan, su...su...sugoi
In this article, I will share with you:
- My EoS rewards strategy
- My EoS rewards from Gold III
- My thoughts on what I got
- My approach to earning rewards next season.
With that, let’s get into it!
My EoS rewards strategy: GET CARDS!!!
Maybe someday...
Generally speaking, my “money-making”
strategy for Splinterlands is to focus on obtaining cards.
This involves two key tactics:
- Maximizing my rewards by completing daily quests & renting power toward EoS
- Buying cards to improve my core decks (Water, Earth, Fire) slowly over time
But why cards, you might ask?
Well, I believe cards are, and will continue to be, the game’s most valuable asset. Naturally, then, I want to acquire as many cards as possible, betting they’ll be worth way (way) more in the future.
And because I’m so bullish on cards, I’m willing to pay higher rent fees toward EoS to reach higher leagues--and thus increase my chances of winning even more cards.
Ultimately, I believe my collection will appreciate in value over time to make up for short-term rental costs...and then some. 💰
Okay, enough talk. Check out my 22 EoS rewards below.
Season End Rewards (22 Chests, Gold III)
Too many lotions I MEAN POTIONS 😆

- Total Card Value: $7.65 USD*
- Best Card: Venari Wavesmith
*Based on today’s lowest list price
Breakdown of Rewards
- 48 DEC
- 9 Cards
- 8 Common
- 1 Rare
- 4 Legendary Potions
- 4 Alchemy Potions
Thoughts on what I got
Honestly...I’m underwhelmed. Compared to last season, where I pulled 14 cards (including 3 Epic cards), this season’s rewards only yielded 9 cards--mostly Common--and too many lotions (haha).
In terms of DEC, I received about the same amount as last season. Nothing new there.
The one bright spot was getting Venari Wavesmith. It’s a staple of my Water deck, and I do hope to receive more in the future for leveling up. Playing aside, this card’s value has appreciated nicely (currently sells for around $6 USD). It’s a solid investment. #NotFinancialAdvice
You make my Water deck complete. 💖
Thoughts on next season’s rewards strategy
While the EoS rewards were disappointing, I won’t be changing my rewards strategy anytime soon.
Why? Because I want more cards! 😅
That said, I will be learning the new rental bidding system in an effort to reduce my rental costs. Then (hopefully) I’ll have more DEC leftover to invest in cards.
Conclusion
TL;DR
- Reached Gold III and rec’d 22 rewards chests!
- Rewards were disappointing overall
- Best reward: Venari Wavesmith (~$6 USD)
- I play to maximize reward chests, and will continue doing so.
