Well it has oficially been a month since I entered the world of #Splinterlands. Quite an interesting and eventful month at that. A strong addiction to the game has happened and I found myslef making time to play every day. (Yes, I played a few battles on Christmas🎄)
Thanks to the help of a powerful friend who was able to delegate me some cards (@Amphlux), I was able to figure out some strategies that won a decent percentage of battles quite quickly.
Always looking to learn more and be the best I could be, I wandered into the Splinterlands Discord and absorbed as much as I could. The crowd there was very helpful and answered all my stupid questions without sarcasm.
Diving deeper into my Splinterlands and HIVE journey, I discovered OneUp! and The Cartel.
The OneUp cartel is a Meta-Gaming Guild investing in several games, a Meta-Curation Guild investing in several curation projects, and a Dividend Token rewarding token owners in 3-6 months based on owner voting and Guild performance.
What a great community of helpful people that are willing to all work together for the greater good. The Cartel is still relatively young but growing at a rapid pace for good reason. Some of the best #PlayToEarn players and Curators are at the forefront. (To find out more check out THIS and mention I sent ya!
My love for Splinterlands and the community around it just keeps growing.
While randomly scrolling and chatting in the Splinterlands Discord, while trying to stop playing for a while to allow my DEC Capture Rate to replenish, I learned about what the whole in game Guild thing was all about. (again, I love the helpfulness to my naive questions). I thought why am I not in a guild yet? Will anyone want me?
The answer to that question was ## YES!!!
I am now a proud member of the #AcolytesOfHelio. A fantastic Guild that is interwoven with The Cartel and OneUp. The best of both worlds.
And to add a little twist of fate into it, the one (Amphlux) that brought me back to HIVE and referred me to Splinterlands just happens to be in that Guild.
What are the chances???
FATE? COINCIDENCE? SERENDIPITY?
Well I will continue my journaey and try to keep you all updated along the way. Always looking for new friends and connections and delegated cards so I can reach the next level, lol!
Thought I would also share a battle I had today that was perhaps my longest battle ever...... and I squeked out a WIN!
