The following tip was learned in a recent battle that I had played. I will be covering my experience when using the Sand Worm in Reverse Speed battles. The Sand Worm isn't the only non-flying, sneak-attack monster, which you should already know. That just happened to be the one card I selected as an example for this tip.
I have noticed within several rounds of reverse speed round that whether or not you have monsters with higher amounts of speed, it doesn't change whether or not they land an attack.
A great example of this is...
When using the Sand Worm (speed = 2), versus a Spirit of the Forest (speed = 6), the Sand Worm will miss 90 percent of the time even though the speed would be considered to be beneficial or in favor for the Sand Worm to land/evade more attacks comparing to the Spirit of the Forest card. This isn't the case. The Sand Worm will still miss a majority of the attacks, due to it being a flying creature.
Example of battle :
I lost the match.
I can only guess that the Spirit of the Forest's flying ability decreased the ability of the (much slower) Sand Worm to land any attack during the match.
The issue I see too much, is flying creatures being hit by the Sand Worm, no matter what the speed of the opposing enemies flying creature. My tip for others for reverse speed rounds, is (if you use sneak-attack) to not only use one monster with sneak (i.e. the Sand Worm) as the only monster with a sneak attack when battling new foes for this rule set. The result could lead to a loss depending on flying or healing abilities.
See you on the Battlefield!
