Here's the ruleset for this week's battle
The ferocity ruleset gives the fury ability to all monsters. The most important thing to do in response is to just not use any monsters with the taunt ability because they'll be taking double damage. You can assume that your opponent isn't going to use any monsters with taunt either, so you may want to pick a spot to focus your attacks besides their tank and you may want to shore up your back line defensively.
The tis but scratches ruleset gives the cripple ability to all monsters. With monsters getting crippled, healing takes on a little less value in all it's forms. Monsters that start with just 1 health lose no value.
Neither of these rulesets are huge gamechangers. With a mid to high starting mana cap and all splinters available, I could be facing just about anything on the other side of that battlefield.

After watching this it looks like Katrelba really benefitted from the tis but scratches ruleset. My opponent's monsters were lined up just right for Katrelba to feast on.
Let's talk about my lineup
Summoner: Helios Matriarch
Helios Matriarch gives my whole team plus 1 speed. Gives me access to gladius cards and gives me access to monsters from the dragon splinter.
Tank: Unicorn Mustang
Void is one of my favorite abilities to have in a tank and the raw stats on Unicorn Mustang are good too.
1st position: Spriit Hoarder
Spirit Hoarder's biggest asset is the triage ability. I was just saying how that's less helpful in the tis but scratches ruleset, but it still has the potential to buy me an extra hit on my back line. The raw stats on Spirit Hoarder are also solid for 3 mana.
2nd position: Queen Mycelia
The protect ability is overpowered in general and even more important for a ruleset like ferocity where hits on your backline may be more likely.
3rd position: Katrelba Gobson
Katrelba is one of my favorite cards. I love double strike in general. Katrelba specifically pairs well with this ruleset on account of not attacking a taunt monster and also reducing the health of my opponent's monsters when hitting their armor. Things lined up extremely well for Katrelba against my opponent's entire lineup.
4th position: Goblin Psychic
Goblin Psychic is great for the tank heal ability. This is less effective in combination with the tis but scratches ruleset.
5th position (rear tank): Mycelic Morphoid
In the ferocity ruleset where sneak attacks may take on a priority the thorns ability has the potential to hurt my opponent while they take the morphoid down.
Did we win?
Yes. Katrelba was amazing. The magic attacks from Spirit Hoarder and Queen Mycelia also put in extra work on account of the tis but scratches ruleset. You may have noticed the health drop on bakjira in spite of the void ability.
What will I try differently next time?
My healers were less effective thanks to the tis but scratches ruleset. In particular I think that I could have picked something better than Goblin Psychic for that position. It didn't matter much with Katrelba doing all the heavy lifting.
Thanks for reading and thanks for all the upvotes, reblogs, comments and follows. I'll see you in the game. I hope the updated format that I'm using is helpful. Feel free to share any specific feedback in the comments.
