It's another splinterlands' end of the season and as always it's that time when people are ecstatic and curious to see how their efforts might have potentially paid off. One of the most exciting things about splinterlands' is the fact that the expectations of uncertainty often come with the hope of luck.
This means that every little move, every little investment, and every aim to squeeze out value is often a preparation for the greater good. We must admit that there's no certainty to rewards even if our investment moves are a surety. This is why a lot of splinterlands players are always hopeful rather than entitled every end of the season. In reality, this goes against the onus of conventional investing.
Death to entitlement....
The truth is that, when we spend money, we become entitled and this is because it took a lot of bravery, or it takes a lot of bravery to be an investor in the first place, but over time we've come to understand that this isn't how it works with crypto and blockchain projects that are backed by crypto.
A #Play2earn game such as splinterlands can be vastly rewarding, but it's impossible to measure the degree of the reward, but one thing is that the higher you invest, the higher your investment can go always counts for something. This is why there's curiosity every end of the season. Everyone is hoping to get something better, maybe a pack, a sweet gold foil, some stash of decent SPS, less merit, and a potion, and maybe get a rare card they've been willing to own for a long time.
The feeling is immeasurable. The uncertainty of rewards is why splinterlands' is addictive, there's no certainty to anything, and this takes away the boredom of knowing it all.
Although, some people might slightly disagree and this is because they want to multiply the outcome of their investment in every situation, but sadly one can only do this with conventional investments. Sorry for going off point.., it's that time of the season again when I'm happy that this season's reward is better than the last.
Although this might be because of the level 3 gold foil Djinn Murat that was delegated to me by halfway through the end of the season. Hahaha, I go a taste of silver two, even if I can only compete at silver three with my 21k collection Power.
That djinn Murat
Still feels weak after level 2
The gold card made maximum difference
Believe me it didn't feel special because I was used to playing everyone in the Silver league in general. My win rate didn't reduce, in fact, I slightly beat the guys with expensive summoners, you can call it the perks of being creative with having limited means. However, with that delegation, I was able to get two daily focus chests, contrary to the one I always get.
Meaning I got about 12 chests for the 6 days I had the card. Although I couldn't play with the card, as I might have needed a level four Thaddius brood to actually play it. But the collection Power it gave me, did give me a huge boost as I've been waiting for a little push in crypto prices to throw a little cash into the game.
Staking every ounce of SPS
The not so inspiring E.O.S
Opening a pack again.
The little deck progress
However, I'd let you all see my reward for the end of the season, the highlight is a djinn chwala, some SPS that counts, and nothing more, it's nothing to be excited about, but I'm always of the opinion that it doesn't matter. Why? I think I'm happier with the accumulation process.
6 months ago, I had all my cards in level one but today majority of them are in level three. Well, I won't exactly say it's a new or spectacular feat, I'm just thinking that I'm happy to build and accumulate over time. Well, I got to also upgrade my venari crystalsmith to level two nothing special, the speed improved from 2 to 3.
The Money, Value & Utility
so I think I might have to get it to level three to actually to improve the attack from one to two, it's a gradual process, I'm building all my deck at once and right now my water deck seems to be the most capable. A card like Djinn Oshannus will forever remain utility and I didn't regret buying it at 49$ when I did. So, I'm paying attention to my deck very carefully, while building it at my own pace, but soon, I'll see how it goes.
I opened another pack, and so far the summer within is the only selling point. I'm still expecting to get a GFL and after opening over 93 packs, I've not gotten any, well it's still a pipe dream that before I open everything, I might just get one at the end of the day and if not, then, it's the element of uncertainty that I've mostly mentioned. It's a new season and I think I'll just let it sway round and round. Cheers, keep brawling.
