Hello world and fellow crypto gamers
Another week came so another Social Media challenge by Splinterlands is up! Today we are going to review a formation to counter Poison and try to understand what is the best approach to this style of battle! We are going to examine the key cards and I am going to show you one battle with this formation for better understanding!
Because this post has the purpose to promote the game, I will try to explain what is this crypto game with a few words! If you are familiar with the game skip this part! So if anyone is new here and doesn't know what the game is about let me explain to you. Splinterlands is a play to earn a game in the NFT world. The game operates in the Hive blockchain and it is a trading game genre! To put it simply it's a card game that whenever you win you earn DEC (basically the crypto-coin of the game), the more you play and you are going up in the ladder, the more rewards you get! If you want to join and take a taste of the game, you can do that for free but if you want to start earning DEC and grind for NFT cards and more rewards you must buy the Summoner's Spellbook. I totally recommend starting your journey today and to help you with that we are going to review today my favorite combo for the poison rule in Ranked games!

Key cards of the Formation
One of the most important things in a battle with a rule of poison is to try to reduce the health of enemy monsters and a very good way to achieve that is the Summoner of Death class Thaddius Brood! As you would see later in the battle, I used it at Level 2 because I don't really play that much that specific class but you should decide at which level you should play it according to your rank. Also, the -1 Magic at the enemy team you would see is very useful in this meta! Some other Summoners that you could use but their cost is very high are Crypt Mancer and Plado Emberstorm. I want to remind here that my goal is to try to show formations that are budget so I would not say more about these cards because they are out of our league!

So this is the card that we should build around our team's formation because it has the ability Immunity! For those who don't know what this ability is about, the monster is immune to negative status effects! The stats it comes from level 1 is pretty OP so there is no recommendation for what level you should use, simply whatever it feels right to you but you should know that in level 2 it gains the phase ability! The phase ability means that the magic damage can miss too in that monster So it could easily be in all positions and it depends on the way you want to approach the battle! In the battle, we are going to see I placed it in the first position and you would see that it performed well but maybe that was a mistake from me because I risked a lot by doing that!

The last card I would like to recommend is Riftwing! It's also a very useful card especially if the mana cap is very low and you can't afford to play Almo Cambio! The ability we are want to exploit here is Scavenger! It means that every time a monster in the battlefield dies this minion gains +1 Health! As you can understand you can find many ways to exploit that and one way is to play many low-life minions yourself just to buff this minion! This minion has a noticeable buff at level 3 with an extra Speed and at level 5 it gains the Backfire ability! This means that every time an enemy monster attacks Riftwing and misses it takes 2 damage in return! The rest of the minions you are going to use are not so important just try to have increased Health and to live as much as possible!

Watch the action!
