Overview
The new Weekly ruleset Challenge is an amazing twist that I am enjoying so far and I hope there will be twists like that in the future to keep this Challenge's fresh. 😁
This week the ruleset is the Stampede, which means that the Trample ability will retrigger infinitely as long as the trampling unit keeps killing other units.
This ruleset is a prime use case for Summoner Possibilus the Wise. 😁
The upcoming Battle ruleset
| Ruleset | Description |
|---|---|
| Fire and Regret | All Monsters have the Return Fire ability. |
| Stampede | The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed. |
The mana cap for my next battle was 31, which is not that much to use the monsters that I like or want, so I had to figure out a strategy, which will suit the two rulesets perfectly. Usually I will bring the Water deck with Kelya and the Diemonshark, because that monster is amazing in the Stampede ruleset, but being banned for this battle I have chosen a new monster to be my flagship for this ruleset and take advantage of it.
My lineup
| Thaddius Brood is one of my favorite summoner from the entire game, because he cost only 4 mana and he has two very important ability, which will decrease the magic attack and health of all the enemy monsters. | |
| The Harklaw is a massive tank from the Death Splinter, because he has a lot of health and some armor, but more importantly he has the Shield ability, which will halves all the incoming melee and ranged damage. his only weakness is the magic damage, but the Death Splinter is very good to decrease that damage if they want to. | |
| The Arachne Thug is my secret weapon for this battle, because he has the Trample ability, which means that he will get an extra attack if he kills his target. This is a very good combination with the Stampede ruleset, because if he is able to kill his target continously than he can carry on attacking the next enemy monster. He also has the Reach ability, so he is pretty safe behind his tank and still able to attack from there. | |
| The Revealer cost only 4 mana, so he is an easy fit for a middle mana cap battle. He is a magic attack monster, so his attack will ignore the enemy armors easily and on top of that he has the Stun ability, so if he hit his target he will have 50% chance to Stun his target and that target will skip their next turn. | |
| The Life Sapper is another cheap magic attack monster and his speciality is his Life Leech ability, which will increase his own health if he makes any damage to his target. | |
| The Magi Necrosi is a pretty strong Death creature, because he has +3 magic attack, which is already strong on its own, but he also has the Camouflage ability, which will makes him invisible against the enemy direct damage as long as he is not the last monster in his team. | |
| I have used the Corpse Fiend to protect my backline a little bit if my opponent will decide to bring a Sneak monster or one with the Opportunity. |
The Battle

My opponent brought the Life Splinter with Grandmaster Rathe who has three different abilities for 6 mana. He gives +1 armor to all of his monsters and the Void Armor ability as well, which makes them use their armor against the magic attacks as well. The Fire and Regret ruleset is making hard to use the ranged attack monsters for this battle, but my opponent still picked to use the Venari Crystalsmith as his healer.
My opponent was way faster than my team and in the first round he killed three of my monsters, which was pretty scary and I lost all my hope to win this battle.
The Arachne Thug managed to kill his tank and got an extra attack against his Dumacke Exile, but couldn't kill it, so he couldn't use the Stampede ability.
In the third round he finally lost his healer and his off tank, but I lost my Arachne as well, so no more trample in this game.
Luckily the my last two monsters against theirs had much more overal health, so it was easy to secure the victory for my team.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?
This ruleset is quite strong if you have a strategy or monster in your mind who is able to capitalize on that using their Trample ability. The only exception is the summoner of Possibilus the Wise, because he will be able to provide that ability to all of their monsters, which will give a wide variety of options to choose from.
