The Fungus Fiend is my card of the week. While the card has no mana cost, it does have a fairly high market cost of $6.

This legendary card from Chaos Legion cost 0 mana to play and has one attack and two health.
I use Fungus Fiend in combination with Mylor Crowling which is a summoner that gives all cards thorns. Since Fungus has no mana cost, I almost always have a spot for it at the end of the lineup. IMAGE FROM SPLINTERLANDS

I bought my Fungus Fiend from using the bid system. Bids allow you to offer less than market price for a card. When the market dips, your bid is fulfilled and you receive a sweet card at a nice price. There are other sites to buy cards, but www.peakmonsters.com is the only site where you can place bids for cards, as far as I know. My best purchase so far is $5.65. Like I said, it's not cheap. I will need to win a lot of matches to earn back the investment. Which is no problem, because I enjoy Splinterlands!

Also, I added an extra card to see how it does in rental. We are at the start of a new season and it looks like a 61% annual return. I expect end of season will push this card to a much higher rental return.
