Hello SplinterTalk,
I go by MuhSound and my ign# is . I've been thoroughly enjoying Splinterlands. Here I am, two weeks in, and I can't get enough of Splinterlands. I'll tell you, it's really hard for me to get from bronze to silver, and my guess is it's dependent on not only strategy but on your decks. As a newcomer, I see the price of these cards, and I'm wondering how one can afford great decks. It looks as though leveling up and staying leveled up in Silver/Gold tiers can actually yield some decent cards with daily rewards and the likes. Of course in order to get there and stay there is a different story.
There are a lot of discussions about renting cards to get enough Collection Power (CP) for opening Silver and Gold Leagues. I was wondering how much it would cost to own the collection power so I wouldn't have to rent. Well, it' a lot of money and surprisingly not a lot for the Tier 4 cards. I went on PeakMonsters and took the cheapest Buy-It-Now Gold Foil card price of each Edition and Rarity, and I put together a list of what $1 USD spent will get you in CP. I also highlighted the top 5 bang for your buck editions/rarity. I believe the information is correct to the best of my knowledge. These prices are from midday Nov. 19th 2021. Unfortunately, I didn't get the card names but they were the cheapest if you sort by cheapest. Of course this will change with time, but for now it might be valuable to some. And if you can get a better price by bidding you're winning! Also, let me know if you'd like a list put together for non-Gold Foil. If there's enough interest I'll do it.
Cheers and enjoy!
