Ya he analizado dos splinters de Riftwatchers y hoy le toca el turno al que para mi es la estrella indiscutible de esta mini edicion, el Splinter Dragon. Como siempr enfocandome en su desempeño en batalla y la sinergia que hacen con otras cartas mas que de las cartas en si mismas como individuales. Hoy se viene un post con mucha informacion y con batallas increibles asi que ¡Bienvenidos!

I have already analyzed two Riftwatchers splinters and today it is the turn of the one that for me is the undisputed star of this mini edition, the Splinter Dragon. As I always focusing on their performance in battle and the synergy they make with other cards rather than the cards themselves as individuals. Las Cartas.

El splinter Dragon y las cartas neutrales solo tienen 4 cartas cada uno, pero vaya que son suficientes.

Sthispa

Es un invocador de 4 puntos de mana y cuyo buff es darle la habilidad Phase a todas tus cartas, lo que la hace una carta extremadamente situacional pues solo te servira si enfrentas a equipos magicos y si potencias bien la velocidad de tu equipo te puedes hacer intocable en esas batallas. Contra Obsidian y su equipo magico tan lento es una victoria segura.

Whelp Herder

Curiosamente este splinter tiene la carta de menor costo de mana de toda la edicion y tambien la de mayor costo. Esta es una carta ''para toda la familia'' ya que cuesta apenas 3 puntos de mana y tiene Opportunity y nunca le puedes decir que no a una carta asi.

Runic Skyclaw

Una carta con un diseño hermoso y que es una autentica salvajada. En diamante es perfecta para batallas de mana alto por su habilidad Giant Killer, combinada con Agor Longtail puedes anular daño por el blast, tiene Fly y Snipe y un ataque salvaje de 3-5 puntos segun su nivel. No es de extrañar que sea una de las cartas mas caras de la edicion tanto para rentar como para comprar.

Agor Longtail

La estrella del show, es la carta con el costo de mana mas alto de todo el juego, no solo de esta edicion, y ya con eso sabes que se viene algo nunca antes visto. Es tan potente que nisiquiera voy a describirla simplemente mira sus estadisticas y habilidades:

The splinter Dragon and the neutral splinter cards only have 4 cards each on this edition, but boy are they enough.

Sthispa

It is a summoner with a costs of four mana points and whose buff is to give the ability Phase to all the cards on your line up, which makes it an extremely situational summoner because it will only serve you if you face magic enemy teams and if you boost the speed of your team you can become untouchable in those battles. Against Obsidian and his slow magic team it's a sure win.

Whelp Herder

Interestingly this splinter has the lowest mana cost card of the entire edition and also the highest cost of it. This is a card ''very family friendly'' because it costs only 3 mana points and has Opportunity as first ability and you can never say no to a card like this.

Runic Skyclaw.

This is a card with a very beautiful design and that is a real savagery on the battlefield. In diamond rank it is perfect for high mana battles because of its Giant Killer ability, and combined with Agor Longtail you can nullify the blast ability damage, it has Fly and Snipe and a wild attack of 3-5 points depending on its level. No wonder it is one of the most expensive cards in the edition to both rent and buy.

Agor Longtail

The star of the show, it's the card with the highest mana cost in the whole game, not only in this edition, and with that you know that something never seen before is coming. It's so powerful that I'm not even going to describe it, just look at its stats and abilities:

Las batallas.

Aqui traigo algunas batallas mias o recopiladas donde paso a explicar lo que vine a explicar con el post, como funcionan las cartas en las batallas, asi que sin mas preambulos, veamos:

The Battles.

Here I bring some battles of mine or compiled where I explain what I came to explain with the post, how the cards work in the battles, so without further ado, let's see:

Weak Magic + Stampede; 58 Mana cap

Esta es una batalla propia donde mi estrategia fue enfocarme en revivir a Agor Longtail y curarlo en el proceso. No hablé de Oshuur Constatia en el post porque es una carta Promo, pero en esta batalla puedes ver perfectamente lo util que es y como funciona en batalla. Un counter natural para esta estrategia del Taunt es Chaos Dragon pero el ruleset lo minimiza mucho y le quita lo peligroso. El daño tremendo de mi linea secundaria apoyado por el tremendo daño de Agor convierten a este equipo en una maquina imparable.

This is a battle of my own where my strategy was to focus on reviving Agor Longtail and healing him in the process. I didn't talk about Oshuur Constatia in the post because it is a Promo card, but in this battle you can see perfectly how useful it is and how it works in battle. A natural counter for this Taunt strategy is Chaos Dragon but the ruleset minimizes it a lot and takes away the danger. The tremendous damage of my secondary line supported by the tremendous damage of Agor makes this team an unstoppable machine.

Magic Reflect + Earthquake; 54 Mana Cap

¿Ya has jugado con los nuevos rulesets? A mi me encantan, le dan mucho aire fresco al juego y ademas aumentan la complejidad. Quiero dejar de lado el post un momento para hablar de como los rulesets hacen que las cartas se vuelvan 10 veces mejores, fijate en mi tanque, Phantasm. En esta batalla tiene Fly con 6 puntos de velocidad, mi invocador y Diamond Dragon potencian esto disminuyendo la velocidad del enemigo, tiene Return Fire para cartas con ataque ranged y gracias al ruleset, tambien refleja el daño magico. Ademas Agor en segundo lugar despista al enemigo asi mi Phantasm dura mas en el campo atacando muy fuerte, ademas por todos los bonos que tiene, es virtualmente intocable.

Have you already played with the new rulesets of the game? I really love them, because they give a lot of fresh air to the ranked games and also increase the complexity of the metagame. I want to leave the post for a moment to talk about how the rulesets make the cards 10 times better, look at my tank, Phantasm. In this battle he has Fly with 6 points of speed, my summoner and Diamond Dragon boost this by slowing down the enemy, he has Return Fire for ranged attack cards and thanks to the ruleset, he also reflects magic damage. In addition Agor in second place throws the enemy off so my Phantasm lasts longer on the field attacking very strong, plus for all the bonuses it has, it is virtually untouchable.

Thorns + Close Range; 54 Mana cap

Este usuario ya me ha dejado fuera de algun torneo asi que debo decir que se sintio bien tener mi revancha. Esta batalla es mas de lo mismo que llevo explicando pero quise mostrarla porque con Agor Longtail y Oshuur Constantia anule por completo toda la estrategia de mi oponente.

This user has already left me out of a tournament so I must say that it felt good to have my revenge. This battle is more of the same I've been explaining but I wanted to show it because with Agor Longtail and Oshuur Constantia I completely annulled all my opponent's strategy.

Conclusiones.

Asi como con fuego, yo no utilizo mucho a este invocador y no logre encontrar una batalla donde fuese util entre las mejores batallas que muestra la pagina del juego. En todos los rangos esta en el top 3 de las mas baratas de rentar y tambien esta en el top 3 de los mas baratos para comprar. Y no es que me parezca malo si no que tiene un uso demasiado limitado para mi gusto. Las otras 3 cartas me parecen maravillosas, sobre todo Agor Longtail, que desde la conoci se volvio una de mis cartas mas usadas en batalla.

Conclusions.

As it happen with fire splinter for Riftwatchers, I don't use this summoner much on my rankeds battles and I couldn't find a battle where it was useful among the best battles shown on the game main page. In all ranks it is in the top 3 of the cheapest cards to rent and it is also in the top 3 of the cheapest cards to buy. And it's not that I think it's bad, it's just that it has too limited use for my taste. The other 3 cards seem wonderful to me, especially Agor Longtail, which since I met her became one of my most used cards in battle.
