I am a little late with my End of Season report, and what can I say that most people are finding it pretty competitive right now. The lower rewards in the bronze and silver leagues are pushing people and bots higher.
The release of Lux Vega and the increased demand for DEC has caused it to surge, particularly against Hive which has fallen. In the last few days, it seems to have pulled back a little but is still almost double the rosey price of 0,12 Hive.
This may be because the demand for DEC has subsided and also the big news that Splinterlands will cut back their staffing levels. I was surprised to learn that they had so many staff to be honest.
Whilst it may seem like bad news, I also see it as a big opportunity for all those involved. Perhaps I have rose-tinted glasses on, but I am sure guys working in crypto are in high demand and they will find something quickly and be creating new games and projects.
You can see that I didn't make it back to Diamond III this time but finished strongly in Gold I. I stuck with my deck and avoided any rentals as they were very expensive and I wasn't really sure what I should rent to give me that push.
I reached Gold III and stopped with Wild as it was even more brutally competitive than Modern! Even though I had a few stronger monsters at the start of the season, I couldn't make much further progress.
This season I managed 31 Diamond chests and I was much happier with my haul compared to last season, but last season was a particularly bad haul.
Here you can see just my Diamond chests haul. Not bad and I got a Chaos Legion pack.
My full season rewards with my mostly gold chests was pretty good with a few gold foils.
The end of last season DEC had just started soaring and was at 0,17 Hive when writing my report. Today it has fallen back to around 0,20 Hive.
Here you can see the huge run up that it had. In hindsight I should have continued to buy DEC but the problem is, how high will it go and when to sell? Answers on a postcard.
Until prices go down further, I continue to sell my DEC and wait for lower prices to buy back in. There are quite a few cards I want to buy, but not at these prices. I will wait further before any upgrades to my deck.
I have been getting SPS daily from the Hive:SPS liquidity pool and this has been good to boost my SPS stack because we also are getting airdropped more GLX tokens for staked SPS.
Therefore, maybe now it makes more sense to have staked SPS than in the liquidity pools..? after 2 weeks I have also checked the impermenant loss levels and I have gained 8 Hive but lost 67 SPS. So far nothing to worry about so far.
Good news in the Guilds is that we are now earning SPS for rewards which I think is a great development. I'm not sure what effect this may have on the price of SPS though as people will probably sell for DEC.
I also managed to pull my first legendary which will be a great addition to my deck. My deck sure does need some reinforcement as there are some tough opponents sometimes we are facing!
That's it for this time, I wish you a successful new season.
Thanks for reading.
