Session 5, the last session of the first season! Have stuck with it this far, and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. This post is going to be a bit shorter than the others as I played with the Water splinter, and the rentals and strategy are similar to what we already had in the previous post with the water splinter.
So, one question I've ran into many times while streaming has been about how fatigue works. I thought it would be a good thing to use for my information bit in this post. Fatigue is a mechanic used to ensure that games cannot go forever. So, onto how it works. Starting with the end of round 20, every monster will take 1 damage from fatigue. After that, the damage increases by 1 every round. So on 21 every monster takes 2 damage, 22 every monster takes 3 damage, and so on. One thing we like to do on the stream is try to guess what round something will end when we have a lineup where it is clear it is going to go to fatigue due to healers and such.
Now, onto the rentals for this session.
And as always, our two utility cards
The strategy was basically the same as before. I didn’t pick up any magic damage cards, I pretty much just tried to run double heal with Sea Monster and Crusty and focused on stacking ranged damaged. One thing I thought about after going into it, I'll be picking up Bortus instead of Alric going forward for this lineup. The -1 magic is just better. I also always tried to work Ooze into the lineup where possible because the speed advantage is just so important a lot of the time.
For results this session, I'll go over the daily quests first. Nothing exciting. Ended up with 2 water quests and received 2 potions. I spent 55.149 DEC on rentals this session. I started with 554.76 DEC and ended with 596.56, for a total gain of 41.8 DEC on the session. The next session should be pretty interesting! The first season for this account will end, which means season end rewards. Plus figuring out a new strategy to follow given the changes to how rewards and DEC are distributed.
As always I need to give a quick shout out to the #NoSleepGang for supporting me on Twitch while I stream this challenge live. Always a blast having everyone there hanging out. Shoutouts to @SplinterlandsHQ @Gameboy_ali @Drabs587 and everyone else. Big shoutout to
